Some people here call minions lack of mental strength, mental block, bla bla bla because of their lack of success in World Championship or Thomas Cup. But tbf, their finals records should speak for itself. They are just too clutch, even when they were trailing behind (AG, etc2) win is almost a guarantee once they're reaching final. If that's not the definition of mental toughness idk what is then?
Well how can they win everything. Opponents are already super jealous, thats why its very difficult to beat them. Its obvious that winning bigger prize (AG) gives better confidence than winning WC.
that was a great performance by minions, though there's still some easy mistakes from kevin. on the other hand kamura also make so many mistakes, and it happen in such crucial situation. sonoda solid as usual, some amazing defense from him. overall good mens double final. not dissapointed!
Yay congrats minions! Poor Kamura.. they played well today but he was really under pressure toward the end of G2. Guess minions did well to put on the pressure on him more.
I wonder why people still think that they have a mental block. They have the anility to come back from the behind. That takes mental strength to do. I think their failure in WC have something to do with burden and pressure. Look at AG, they carried the burden of not doing well at major events and feel pressured, but they still managed to come back from behind in the final. i hope i can win it
When Kamura defend those 5 shots on the floor, you just knew they will lose. The same in WC. But i think KamuraSonoda is pretty clutch themselves with 2 titles this year and a few more Finals. I think they are pair that can lose in R1 and reach Finals/Champion the next tour.
I agree with the comemtators that Marcus has improved himself. I also think he has worked on his serve. Kevin also did well today. It's good to see the minions are doing better now. Congratz minions *thumbs up
Yeah, WC had a weak field as well, but that was partly due to LCW withdrawing and KS being out of form currently.
