He doesn't have any edge when attacking. His smashes are average, not powerful and not weak.
Only thing he is good at is defending and rallying.

well i just check that both aya ohori and saena kawakami have higher rankings than minatsu mitani and didn't get sent here to play so i guess sayaka takahashi with even lower ranking is toast. man MM just lost in her first match here too i hope she got demoted from team A. oh wait she's quite cute better demote Sayaka sato instead

Lee Hyun Il in the early rounds is dangerous for anyone.

I like his calm demeanour. Hope he find his rhythm in future tournaments.

I see what you see there. Well, as much as I want Mitani to stay, but I think she will be replaced by Ohori by next year for team A. Well, lets see ;)

I am curious to see how much can Tai Tzu Ying fares in this tournament, after a series of discouraging results in recent tourneys.

why do you think Lin Dan affraid to Axelsen ?

    34 y.o. Lin Dan has 1 - 1 H2H record with 23 y.o. Axelsen in 2017
no way LD affraid to VA.

but if you think like this, I also want to say, VA affraid to play in Korea, against the world number one Son Wan Ho

yes, VA is the local hero
he is also reigning world champion

but don't forget, LD almost win G1 in WC 2017.
even 35 y.o. LCW could win G2 in Japan SS 2017...

so LD affraid to Axelsen ? keep dreaming

Chill mate, I am just making a joke there.
I don't think anyone is afraid to anyone in local tournament or something.
VA has been defeated a lot of time this year, only in India, WC and Japan Open did he won all matches.
LCW/LD/CL or Srikanth and Son Wan Ho can beat him if they use the correct strategy.
    Cheers!

As Lindan said earlier, he will select tournaments carefully in order to not getting any injury.

Why even skip Denmark Open, since French is only a normal SS event?

SWH still weak against attacking player like Ginting.
He only know how to be passive.
