Huge injury and he's old. Hope to see him play well again but not hopeful.

not only Sindhu but the top 10.

I don't know what advice I can give to her.

Surrender and choose another work ^-^

The top ten of women's single on table ranking can be lost to anyone who are beyond the top ten on a bad day but NOT OHORI.

    for yearssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, yeah many years,

    year and year again.

Court 2 streaming froze ever since in G3 18-15.. then live score 20-20.
Choi/Seo must have played really badly that they lost the G3 to Ou 20 - 22.. o_O No idea how it went in the last points.

Yamaguchi has look sluggish since WC last year, think she ll never be back to her best.

Theres something chronic about the way she moves..

Why do you say this ? She's young, not in form agreed. Still has a long way to go. Hope she recovers well.

Her playing style is very risky. She needs to be on her toes not to get herself injured.

Damn, Hoki / Kobayashi really went downhill after WC final last year. They always lost in the early rounds.

Kevin should move his ass...when he do this kind of static and also below the net return..it just looks complacent..

What a match !! 19-9 becomes 26-24 what the hell!! even match point down , twice

I knew they were complacent.. they can lose in R2 but not R1 man..

EllisLangridge is no slouch and they will play in Olympic.. they will drain your mental energy more than anything else

Obviously Kevin is running out of stamina at the end..he needs to work on his fitness and move his butt.

Ellis/Lang gave a hell of a scare to Minions in G3 by scoring from 9-19 to 21-20. Could have won the match too but eventually lost 26-24.

Too many simple errors from Minions. Should have finished the match without any fuss.

    Play hard. Train harder.

Reminds me of minions vs fajar/rian last week. minions score 10 straight points from 10-17 but in the end fajar/rian still won 23-21.

People said other pairs have them figured out.. I dont really think so. Otherwise they wouldnt be this long in WR1 and its Doubles , there are many ways to pluck a victory. We knew EllisLang will play that way..

Weird that it happens to Minions,, they are so prone to streak of points given away. If this is Olympic, i think they will have lost this kind of match ...

    Its a good reminder.

Kevin may find out that play in fast & furious will loose away the stamina...
need to learn from Ahsan/Setiawan how they keep their energy and stamina...

Both Carolina Marin and Shi Yuqi who experienced severe injury at same venue Istora Senayan but different event last year erase their bad memory here to pass opening round with contrast fashion. Marin shows her class over Nitchaon Jindapol while Shi looked awkward and struggling in opening round before displays much better shots and accuracy in second game then losided third game as too many free points that contributed by Praneeth to repeat his habit, can't keep consistency in entire match, succumbed meekly 10-21.

Women's singles title holder Saina Nehwal is sent packing by Sayaka Takahashi while her compatriot Pusarla Sindhu progresses to eliminate Aya Ohori once again. Chen Yufei shocking defeat that sparked huge upset yesterday and almost followed by second seed Akane Yamaguchi who's survived in thrilling match to quell local favourite Gregoria Mariska, 12-21 / 21-15 / 24-22. The off-form Japanese will take on China latest talent Wang Zhiyi next.

Back to back disappointment outing for world number two Chou Tien Chen, this time the Taiwanese star lost to HKG underdog Lee Cheuk Yiu in two quick games, 12-21 / 17-21. Other top names prevail including defending champion Anders Antonsen and Indonesian protagonists Anthony Ginting and Jonatan Christie. Strong contender Viktor Axelsen eases past badminton maestro Lin Dan comfortably, it's getting harder for Lin who insisting to pursue his 5th Olympic dream.

Men's doubles category who demonstrating fast frurious exchanging shots than slow paced long rallies witnessing three home pairs were troubled by their first round rivals. The Minions almost blow away their golden chance when leading big margin, 19-9, let Rio OG bronze medalists Ellis/Langridge to close the gap and delivering more interesting atmosphere, forcing deuce until 24-22 for the Indonesian hotshots. Kim GJ/Lee YD reproduce their winning formula against the lacklustre Chinese duo Li JH/Liu YC, the only seeded pair who found exit door yesterday.

Second seed Fukushima/Hirota avenge their losing over the on-fire Li WM/Zheng Y, two straight games. An interesting women's doubles today will look forward Japan new A team Matsuyama/Shida facing world number one Chen QC/Jia YF in two consecutive weeks, the Chinese lost easily last week in Kuala Lumpur at last sixteen.
