Does TH still grip his racquet with a bulge at the end?

I really am starting to enjoy the Taufik gripping method now, it is actually really effective, and has helped me improve my gripping method (I used to hold the racket top high up for singles) and I actually find it quite comfortable.:) I will. Maybe post pics tomorrow.:) on my racket, it actually looks like I have ran out of towel grip 2/3rds through.... I don't care how it looks though, it is great to play with.

Luckily I'm not sponsored by them, and btw I don't think they find this a problem, I mean, Taufik does it as well.

The only YY logo visible to spectators is on the stings (as stenciled)

Let's be serious... The only YY logo visible to spectators is on the stings (as stenciled).

Neither logo on the shaft nor on the end of the handle can be seen by spectators. :p:p:p

So its time for a new Grip and i tried the LCW style.

Now my ArcSaber 10 PG looks really cool without the black border of the yonex tape
    IMG_0405.jpg

But i hope the grip will not peel up when iam doing a backhand serv because i always put my thumb in that area....

And I thought that has already been explained in detail in the posts above?

Here's the procedure in my own words:

    1. You put on a layer on the butt cap. Use either [a whole roll of] 2.5cm fabric tape or (which is the way I do it) padded industrial double sided tape. Make the layer as thick as you like.

    2. Put on the towel grip starting from the top of the handle then finish off at the butt cap. This ensures that the butt cap area has the fluffiest appearance.

Lastly, I shall repeat what one of our members have said in these situations with you guys re-asking questions that have been answered:

    :p

i know the extra thick bottom if for protecting the fingers when you're on the ground but ...

how would it affect your swing? would it act as a counter-balance and help your smash too? of would the burden of carrying an extra few grams be not worth the weight?

my arm gets seriously tired after playing 2 and half hours on medium flex 3u racket :S

    .
:D:D:D Think of those who are playing with heavier training rackets.

They are but thinking of strengthening their arms and wrists.

well, i just experimented this whole week on my game after making it bulge at the racket butt. smashes seems to be sharper and slightly more powerful. i believe its due to the fact that it improves the awareness of my hand position on the racket. i'm reminded to grip slightly lower to smash :p

and i didnt lose "touch" feedback since i made the top portion less overlapped than the bottom (middle finger downwards) :D

oh, i play with a 200g dry weight squash racket for shadow drills and 2u racket for warmup :p
