I started playing again recently after few years of hiatus. The last time I sent my racket for a restring job was perhaps more than 3 years ago :p

I'm looking to restring my carbonex with a good tension holding and hard feeling string.

What current strings fit my need? Non yonex suggestions are welcomed :D

    Yonex BG80
hardest feeling, tension retention on the better side

    Gosen G-Tone 5
still quite hard feeling, loses tension and playability over time

    Li Ning No. 1
I'll let others comment on this until I've tried it again

    Adidas Überschall F66
medium hard feeling, keeps tension and playability, but not as durable as BG80 or even G-Tone 5, but a string that impressed me

    To add to the above

Yonex Aerobite boost - less of a hard feel than BG 80 but more power, feel can be hit or miss depending on person

Victor VBS 68 Control - better tension retention than BG80, almost as hard

Victor VBS 66 Nano - Never played with it but heard it had one of the best tension retention and hard feeling for a 0.66mm string

Li Ning No.1 Boost if you can get it. As lively as BG80 and good tension retention.

BG80 Power More hard-core than BG80 and retains tension pretty well.

No, BG80 Power is less hard than BG80.

LN 1 Boost has rubbish tension retention.

    In descending order:
-Aero Bite Boost (8 months @ 30lbs, sat idle throughout covid but still plays great 8months later).
    -NBG95
    -Li Ning No.5
    -BG80 or BG80P if initially strung >31.

^ is truth, I find #1 rubbish, and a soft non repulsion string in general.
In my own experience, BG80P is softer than BG80P, but hits much harder >28lbs (wins by a mile at 31).
