    the result of CMSS:
    CPS/LKW vs ZN/CB :21-14 18-21 22-20 (1:12)

They're so young and maybe will become main pairs for their countries in the future..
which pair is more potential to be the real winner in the future???

let's discuss about these two pairs from two different countries.

CPS & LKW are XD specialist. Personally I think Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong, Goh Wei Shem/Teo Kok Siang will be CB/ZN's main opponents in future.
You just wait & see who wins in the match GWS/TKS vs CPS/LKW in QF.

GWS/TKS. If you want to know, just download their matches, watch & judge for yourself. Latest that I recall is Vietnam International Challenge, see that thread, GWS/TKS won the title.

Nope, we're saying that overall Mak/TWK, GWS/TKS better than CPS/LKW. This is not saying CB/ZN low level pair or the other 2 pairs for sure will beat CB/ZN.
CPS/LKW have better mental strength than Mak/TWK, which in my opinion is due to CPS's experience, that was why CPS/LKW won a GP Gold title 1st, not Mak/TWK.

    CB is overrated.

LYB claimed many times CB's China's future, can beat CY/FHF in the training. But he always failed. When he failed before with LXL, then LYB fired LXL. In the China super league, with ZhengBo (one of the best double player in China), CB still failed to reach even a wining percentage in super league. He also lost net games, especially in net points heavily which indicates his lacking of ability to score. CB was ranked only 10th in the Super League, while ZN was 5th. Therefore, LYB replaced LXL with ZN, but CB/ZN lost again just last month in Germany and now in China master. when LYB complains difficult to find one to pair with CB, I just see someone else like LXL and ZN were wasted. Reality check, although LYB complained LXL not good enough to pair CB, but LXL is still in the China master in the quarter final.

Maybe CB is the guy with great potential, but I just haven't seen he can win this year.

To me, there is no big deal to beat own team mates............

Is Mak/Tan only can beat team mates like Zakry/Fairus....??? The Fuzzy beaten KKK/TBH numerous times before..., where are them now....???

Something to worry here.....Mak/Tan might just become the 2nd Fuzzy...if they keep doing that...!!

Mak/TWK, CPS/LKW and GWS/TKS seem to be around the same level.

GWS/TKS only became notable this year after the Thomas Cup after they won Vietnam IC by defeating Kim Ki Jung/Shin Baek Cheol in the final. Before that, I only remember them losing in the first round to Cho Gun Woo/Yoo Yeon Seong in the Badminton Asian Championships.

Among these three, Mak/TWK stands out in H2H record, they are unbeaten against the other two in 2010 (beat CPS/LKW twice and GWS/TKS once) but seem to lack mental strength. CPS/LKW has a GP Gold in their pocket and seem to have tough mental strength and fitness while being XD specialists, while GWS/TKS seemed to be the most improved for this whole year. It is hard to tell who is better than who. We shall see if GWS/TKS can beat CPS/LKW.

Either way, it is interesting for the future of MD in badminton, not only for Malaysia, but also the world.

    International level wise, GWS/TKS > CPS/LKW > Mak/TWK
    Titles and exposure wise, CPS/LKW > Mak/TWK > GWS/TKS
    H2H among themselves, Mak/TWK > CPS/LKW and GWS/TKS (CPS/LKW and GWS/TKS never fought each other before in 2010)
    Sorry, but I have to rub this in : Mak/TWK, GWS/TKS, CPS/LKW > Fuzzy :D

Thanks undeadshot for the details about the three pairs.

Back to the thread topic, LKW/CPS Vs CB/ZN...who better ?

Thus far. both have 1 GP title in hand.

But, ZN/CB performance were stable in early of the year, lot of SF and Final appearences compared to LKW/CPS.

So, I still pick CB/ZN is the better pair of two.

It's like up and downs. CB/ZN got 2 SF appearances, at the Korean Open and Malaysia Open. German Open winner, AE lose in 2nd round. CPS/LKW have no impressive performance at the start of this year, and this is their 1st QF in SS I think... but they beat CB/ZN. But I think because of their early year performance, CB/ZN have been made out to be more powerful than they really are, but they still pack quite a punch I must say. Who is better, in the end it still goes down to more of opinion. I would rate both pairs the same now, seeing how close their match was. Early this year, I would definitely pick CB/ZN but now...

    let's apply on ms
to u,there is no big deal to beat own team mates

is xxx only can beat team mates like lcw?hafiz beat lcw more than 3 times before....where are hafiz now?

something to worry here, xxx might just become 2nd hafiz,if he keep doing that!!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
1,does this statement reasonable enough for u?

2,why u worry?arent u are the one who say fuzzy performance in 2009 is on par with koo/tan with one ae quater final and one semi final in wc?

3,mhc/twk had beaten all the so called higher rank md of malaysia
    koo/tan,a pair with 6 wc medal(koo 4/tan 2),ae and ag winner
fairuz/zakry,the so called 2nd pair of mas, 2 ss title winner
ctf/lww,the number 1 mas md pair for more than 5 year since 2000

on a side note,mhc/twk(41) patnership is 7 year younger than koo/tan(48)
    u worry about a falling sky?

    cps/lkw had gp gold(thailand) while zn/cb only had gp(german)
before this tournament,cb/zn is miles ahead of cps/lkw
    after this tournament,we shall see
