    What a mistake!

Now we know how powerful the Chinese is, even Bao lost but on paper, he still won :D Luckily the paper didn't make the same mistake about Lin Dan beating Taufik in the World Championship ... I meant Taufik beat Lin Dan :p

I don't know about that. I think Sigit/Candra kinda gave up when they realized that with the new scoring system, it was very difficult to catch up when you are that far behind. Probably under the normal scoring system, it would have gone three games.

if that is so, sigit and candra should have played in copenhagen masters 05, it would be a sure win for them, wouldn't it  :p ;)

Strategy of snooping the opponents' strength

Jakarta - The competition at the 2005 Copenhagen Masters begins tomorrow. In this year ending badminton tournament, PB PBSI will only send 1 Men's Double pair. That pairing itself is new, Flandy Limpele/Alven Yulianto. Usually, Flandy pairs with Eng Hiand while Alven pairs with Luluk Hadiyanto.

In their opening match, the Flandy/Alven pair, who are in Group 2, will battle with China's pair of Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun. Besides those 2 pairs, resides also the host country's pair of Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen.

In this tournament there are only 2 groups with each group containing 3 pairs/players. This particular event will only field three ties, which are Men's Single, Men's Double and Mixed Double.

PBSI actually had received an invitation from the Copenhagen Masters' organizing committee for five players. They are Men's Single player Taufik Hidayat, current world's #1 Doubles pair Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto and Mixed Doubles's World Champions Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir. But, at the end, the only pair sent are Flandy/Alven.

Will the new pair be burdened a target?? "There are no special target for Flandy/Alven. This event is based on invitation, so it will not affect whatsoever" asserted the Men's Double coach Christian Hadinata, to Jawa Pos yesterday.

The ex-double specialist added, sending this new pair it will benefit Indonesia. That's because Indonesia will be able to measure the strengths of other countries' Men's Doubles, in preparation of facing the 2006 Thomas Cup. Especially, the ones participating are the pairs most likely be in each countries' main Thomas Cup team.

"We'll be able to measure their progress. While other countries will not know the strength of Indonesia", expressed Christian.

The white-haired gentleman also said, eventhough a new pair, Flandy/Alven can not be taken lightly. Especially, Flandy is a player who can adjust very quickly with other player. "It has been know to his opponents. Thus, Flandy/Alven can not be taken with 'one eye'" he asserted.

Prior, Christian had decided to change pairings in Men's Double. The reason for him pairing up Flandy/ALven was because Luluk has been recuperating quite a while after participating in a tournament. Whilst, the strongest four pairs in Pelatnas will be sent to participate in the upcoming All England in mid-January.

All England itself will be the last evaluation stage for deciding who deserve to be the projection pair for Thomas Cup. Because, to be part of the team, it will only need three pairs. Besides the pairs of Flandy Limpele/Eng Hian and Alven Yulianto/Luluk Hadiyanto, the other in the selection are the pairs of Candra/Sigit as well as Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan.

"Copenhagen Master will also become my own evalution stage. If the performance of this new pair is good, perhaps we will pair them up again in the Qualification Rounds and the Thomas and Uber Cup final" said Christian.(dio)

lol - keep up khwong - kenneth is sponsored by hi-tec (think they're switchback's that he's wearing in that pic) and pro-kennex now...

i wonder if this is the start of a marketing drive by both those companies.. perhaps we will see more top pro's using brands other than yonex...

I have downloaded some of the matches from Copenhagen masters. I have a problem with DRM (Digital Rights Movement) though. The files only last for one day after downloading it. :crying:
Hopefully I can crack it in a day or two. Not easy for wmplayer10 I have been told.

I think I have bypassed the DRM now. And have converted from .wmv to divx format. Does anybody have some webspace where I can put them, or maybe use megaupload or something?
I have only converted the MS games.
    Gade vs Pang
    Gade VS Haslim
    Gade vs Bao
    Jonassen vs Bao

    Best Regards
They work fine on my pc. Will try them tonight on my divx player and tv.
