Did it need a thread on it's own though? Le twitter would have been a more logical place to congratulate them ...
Yes, of course! Otherwise, it might be somewhat like a misconstrued Chris Adcock/Imogen Bankier... Oh, lovebirds!
Now at least both Chris and Gabby are more at ease and can concentrate on their game better, especially for Chris. But it is still not final ... it is only an engagement.
Of course it is "only" an engagement, but it's not as if they've only just met, they've known each other for between 7-10 years now (more than most know each other before they get engaged) Good luck to the pair nonetheless.
Whoa, Chris Adcock's car is Audi and yet he haven't got a sponsor that time. Hehehe. The article is quite funny btw.
I'm just wondering, they got married. Now, she is Mrs Adcock. But look at the HKO, why is Gabrielle White's shirt still printed with 'WHITE' instead of 'ADCOCK'? Last time, Tina got married, the name printed on her shirt has changed from 'Rasmussen' to 'Baun' after her marriage.
Now that you brought it up, I just noticed it as well. But I was sure earlier a couple of weeks some tournament information had her married name. In fact, I just found it.. http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=508688&dl=1 Click on the mixed doubles draw. As to the why not yet changed, perhaps her sponsors haven't supplied the new T shirts yet.
Yup, I don't have the chance to watch them on TV until yesterday (they are doing very well in the HKO). Of course her name will catch my eye. Sponsor, please supply new shirts to Mrs Adcock, I wanna see Adcock/Adcock on the court.
That's because they are not married yet. Even after marriage, a woman can choose to keep her last name
no, they are married. But if White chose to keep her last name, why does the draw list show Gabrille Adcock?
In fact, that link I posted shows her as Adcock. The previous draw list showed White, and then the tournament draw paper (see HK Open pics thread) shows Gabrielle White I think it is a non-issue. If you are really curious, then go back to the previous tournaments after they got married and see what name she played under.
i think it will still take some time for the name change. Well, if got a chance to interview White next time, I should bring out this question.
I heard from some newspapers that after Asian tour *(China Open, HongKong Open), she will change her name to Gabriel Adcock..
It's because when Gabby White applied for her visa for China and HK, her passport was still in the name of White, so she said she would change it after these events. Congratulations on their first SS title as well
