This French Open Title is the first adult Worldwide Champion in his career. And of course it is just a beginning for this 17-year-old boy! i am sure he will do something in the 2008 Olympics
I read somewhere before that Chen Jin's idol was the great "Golden Monkey" Sun Jun and that Sun coaches him at their home province? Does Chen Jin play a lot like Sun? A very fast game? Anyway, congrats to him for this stepping-stone victory and I'm sure this is just a minor foreshadow of the future of Chinese men's singles!
- Is he tall and skinny like BAo. I might have seen him in Asian Junior Champs last year where he wasn't good and lost to Simon Santoso but has improved a lot?
Re: - Yes. He is quite tall and thin, just like Bao but i don't think he participated the Asian Junior Champs last year.
I watched the match between Chen Jin and Björn Joppien on TV, and Chen Jin plays a clever attacking game. And he is really fast!
i seriously think that this guy will be one of the badminton stars in 2 to 3 years time.I am so sure about this because he has SUn Jun, one of the best badminton player produced in China, as his coach.
I don't have a TV at home, it's my father who recorded the match on the french satellite... He also recorded the ladies singles, men's doubles, mixed doubles, and the last points of the ladies doubles. If I can (and if I have time), I'll try and convert this to mpeg and put it on eMule... does anyone know how to do it technically?
Assuming that it's recorded onto video cassette, the way I think you would do it is to hook the TV up to the Video In Video Out port at the back of your PC's grapihcs card and then use some sort of program which plays and records the video captured from your monitor and saves it compressed into MPEG onto your hard disk. Sorry about the vagueness, I've never actually tried it before so I could be totally wrong or there could be an easier way of doing it.
Hmm, yes, it must be something like that... I should be capable of finding anyway, but this means me either bringing my PC to my father's home, or taking his video recorder to my home... well, I'll see when and how I can do that!
I believe Chen Jin is 1.83 meter tall. Chen Jin left home alone at the age of 7 for Nanjing, thousands of miles away from his parents, to get some badminton training. This is kind of typical, since Lin Dan left his home (Fujian) early his age for some badminton training at Nanjing too, which doesn't mean Nanjing can provide better training than Fujian. Ji Xinpeng, a Hubei native, lefe his home for Fujian to get better training.
yes. such kind of situation is quite normal in China. Chen Jin was born in Hebei Province but now he is in Jiangsu Province team.
