    spelling error..

it should be congratulations instead of congragulations;)

btw, during yesterday's match , as always, NTM showed his aggressiveness in his game against bao. But Bao's shot sharpness and deceptive drop is incredible though.

Then suddenly Bao was touching his stomach, perhaps stomach upset?:D or stomach muscle cramp that have to force him to concede a walkover to NTM.

and yeah, the mas crowd here was conterminously keep cheering for this Vietnamese though:)

Yeah, I think there was something wrong with Bao yesterday's match but I haven't known exactly the reasons yet! Its a lucky match for TM, maybe!
And its still early to congratulate TM. He has to face Jogensen in this evening
 I wonder why all QF matches starts so lately....

I think it's the other way around. Singapore should thank NTM for coming. He is easily better than the best Singapore can offer now. Singapore needs good quality sparring players to raise its standards.

2010 Malaysian Open SS Quarter-Finals: Nguyen Tien Minh-vs-Jan O Jorgensen

    .
Yes, probably NTM could also defeat JOJ at this 2010 Malaysian Open SS Quarter-Finals, to be starting in less than one-and-a-half hours' time.
Good Luck to Nguyen Tien Minh !!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

NTM has beaten Jan O' Jorgensen 21-17; 22-20.
In the next round, he will face the winner between home favourite Lee Chong Wei and Chinese No.2 Chen Jin, an uphill task either way.

NTM is on fire this year. Good job!

If you guys realize his training conditions and environment in Vietnam, you'll appreciate his achievements a lot more than you do now. Next match against LCW in his home soil will be extremely hard, but nothing is impossible right? :)

NTM will put up a good fight nevertheless.

If you told me that NTM will play a SF in a SS tournament couple years ago I would think it's ridiculous. But now it happened. I have to change my mind about his achievement. It's really his talent and improvement not one or two lucky matches. I still remembered that he was the first Vietnamese badminton player who could defeat an Indonesian player few years ago.It was a shocking news at that time. I feel proud of him. Although, to be honest, I could see there's still a gap between him and the top 5.
Best wishes for you NTM.I hope tomorrow there will be an exciting match between NTM and LCW. Malaysian and Vietnamese fans, let's enjoy the match together. It will not a win or lose matter. Just enjoy the games and every rallies

Agree that there is still a gap between NTM and top 5.

Malaysian fans: can we hear you say "Boleh"? Or Vietnamese fans, can you say "Cố Lên"? Lol :)

I have always been a fan of NTM....ever since he started playing. I remember he used to come very close to making QF and SF in almost every event he played in. I am very happy that he has progressed to the point where he can compete with the big boys now!! If you look at his matches, 90% of them are really close and can go either way, hopefully now he can overcome the hurdle of the elite and elevate his status to elite as well.

the mas fans once again cheered for NTM in yesterday's match vs Jan O Jorgensen.:)

Jan O's game was too passive yesterday from what i see. Not his usual self. That makes him angry at the end of the game. Despite numerous time argueing with the crowd behind him for shouting 'OUT', 'IN':p:p

    :D:D

Although I am a fan of NTM and glad that he won, I should say that we should not get ahead of ourself. NTM won because BCL wasn't feeling well and retired.

Like someone said earlier, quite a few of his games are very close which means there isn't a real difference between him and many of his opponents. We should wait until he starts winning consistently against top-tier players without any injuries/walk-overs like when he beat Lee Hyun-Il, Taufik Hidayat, Lee Chong Wei or beat mid-tear players more comfortably like how PG & LCW can. Because with very close scores like that it usually means that NTM has more stamina and faster than his opponents, which won't last as he gets older.

He must develop his games and refine his shots if he wants to further improve his game!
