So, Team INA won 2 titles in the Ciputra Hanoi Vietnam Int Challenge 2009, with victories from Akhmad Tantowi/Richi Puspita Dili and Pia Bernadet Zebadiah/Debby Susanto. Undoubtedly, this will lift up the spirits of Pelatnas, esp in WD and XD. It also proves that Pia's switch to doubles work out pretty well. I am pretty sure she's gonna win more titles as compared to slogging it out in the singles. As for Team Djarum, they can be satisfied with 2 runners-up. Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka exceeded my expectation in reaching the Final, before inevitably bowing out to the local favorite and defending champion Nguyen Tien Minh. If you have a player that can beat 4 of your players, then, it says something about him/her. Ratchanok Intanon is certainly a sensation and I believe this title will just be the start of a possible big future for her in badminton. However, the performance of the new Pelatnas member, Lindaweni Fanetri is certainly quite impressive as she crawled all the way from Qualifying. Fransiska Ratnasari can also treat this tourney as the start of her "new life" as a Djarum player. I believe that the QF placement will instill a renewed confidence in her career. The only disappointment was the loss of 2 INA MD pairs in the SF yesterday

As for the THA WS young sensation, Ratchanok I., she's one to keep an eye, or two eyes, on. However, expecting her to reach the 2012 OG might be a bit stretching it (let's see what she can do against other top WS players; not just juniors or 2nd, 3rd tiered players whom she beat).
