you're correct that the team has to made their selections well before the start ans stick to it.
having said that wouldn't that be more interesting if the allow to change according to the score?

Thank you guys, I did not know this rule so I think they will stick with the new pair since they beat BO/MO and LEE/KO twice in the past two months unless their forms dropped in early matches.

Well, basically China is the top seeded team to win Sudirman Cup, China players selected for SC is one of the strongest in their respective disciplines and some of them is the strongest, they actually can rotate the players, if they want to, of course and still won maybe 3-2. The main problem is that China just did not want to win, they want to dominate and show their supremacy in Badminton. They want to beat every team 3-0. it is a very hard mission to be accomplished since CL just did not have 55% above possibility of beating LCW, if they encounter MAS. CY/FHF performance just can't be measured since they did not play in several tourneys already. On the other hand, LXL/QZH although showing a good results in 2013 by beating almost all of MD elites they could possibly encounter, they however had not had any chance to play in SC before. In my opinion, it is harder for China to win every clashes 3-0 in 2013 SC, but they still have the chance to do so.

is that possible to win with cleansheet against any team like that? any country/team ever won the Sudirman Cup without losing one single match?

    you're welcome.

the common denominators of those cleansweeps are Lin Dan, Fu HY and Cai Y.
and none of them will be playing or in form.

that will make this t'ment more interesting!

    A) To prove to the world that WHOEVER (national camp) athletes CBA send, they'll win the title anyway?
    B) To prove to the world that their regeneration process is going smoothly and their young athletes are capable to take down ROW's bests?
    C) All above?

    ;)

Result comes first, especially to fans and sponsors.

That's why they will always send the best available and fit.

Most wins made by China at Sudirman cup, Thomas cup or Uber cup, were clean sweep. all 5:0 or 3:0.

But all the other teams except China, had to exhaust to death. Korea won 3:2, Indonesia won 3:2 too.

china team did it before, didn't they? should be 2012 TC preliminary round? no ld or cai/fu that time. of course, yes, the tournament is a smaller one compare to SC, but they still won it.

Interestingly, the CBA arranged three simulation matches for their Sudirman Cup Team involving WS, MD and XD on 11th May. No matches for MS and WD. The results:

    1) In XD, Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei won in two sets with identical score of 21-19 vs Xu Chen/Ma Jin ;

    2) In WS, Wang Yihan beat Li Xuerui, 21-17 and 21-15; and

    3) MD, Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng beat Liu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan, 21-14 and 21-16.
