I agree with your comments on the shouting and screaming. Since Marin came on the scene its got worse. Come on CBA let's do it the Asian way and stop cheering loudly on error and winning points. Its horrible and disgusting in my opinion. The top MS of the past P.Gade,T.Hidayat ,LC.Wei and LDan were very decent in their celebrations, also Chen Long, a gentleman till the end. In MD H.Setiawan and M Ahsan are also exemplary.,as well as Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng. Let's hope we can have some decency instead of this attitude of celebrating a winning point even if not earned, Let's be like the gentleman of tennis Roger Federer, A Class Act

Shouting with “unforced errors” - those errors might be due to the pressure exerted by yourself on the opponent so that it looks like an unforced error. For me, shouting is ok for that situation.

You also make a good point about over excitement as well. It can cause a decrease in performance.

YAQ should watch how Gao Fengjie uses her smashes against the attacking Japanese players in the recent tournaments. Her strong attack affects the opponents play such that mistakes ,lack of confidence and errors creep in.

I hope the singles players are being trained in the other aspects of the game sans smashing. If that is so it's a good strategy. We will look at their next outing to see whether this is so. Weng Zhengxing and LLX are good smashes but they make many silly unforced errors. Is this because they did not have a strong foundation in stroke play and concentrated on power only.
Notwithstanding, Increased smashing power is becoming evident in the new players,XD,MD and WD. and it's good to see they have good foundation in the other aspects of the game The positive changees that have brought about the fast and natural play in China's MD is really unbelievable. The speed and hunger for the shuttle as well as the anticipation and moving forward to the net was seriously lacking. They were always bullied by the rest but not anymore!!!

China used to have singles players that converted to doubles. Li Yingbo and Cai Yun were amongst these. You get the feeling that the majority of China men’s doubles historically never had the X factor. They might have changed now starting to specialise junior players earlier into doubles and singles.

You showed how to get Dob by looking at their profile. But it doesn't show anymore. Similarly bwf fansite doesn't give the Dob . Very annoying

I agree with the "unforced errors" might be induced by your opponent. Here I think the Japanese girl had a very positive attitude, confident and going out with her shots often without reservation. The particular I was mentioning was a slow drop shot by the Japanese girl from the baseline that caught the Chinese player flat but unfortunately it landed in the net. The Chinese player proceeded to scream a few times, then look at the coaches and then pick up the bird. Not a good demonstration about her confidence, maybe also the pressure to win. I still believe if she played her normal game without the pressure she could have beaten the Japanese girl.

Bad luck for him. He met tougher opponents in the first round.

I have the link in Youku to watch matches in the Hylo tournament live but I just can't post links to this forum anymore. Hope Mr Clean will take the trouble to find the link and post it for the fans in this forum. Thanks.
