    The unseeded Wong Mew Choo upset the reigning Olympic Champion and former World Champion Zhang Ning in straight sets 21-16 21-19 on her 3rd match point in 41 mins.

    WMC played really really well. she kept the shuttle in play and in and most of the times she was outplaying ZN even at the net game.

    i was just a few feet from her. i can tell that when she was leading 20-17, she was getting a bit nervous, her footwork was more erratic and heavy, but all of the time she wasn't huffing and puffing too badly, i think she has enough steam for the rest of the tournament.
