Lin Dan as age catches up is getting a bit slow in warming up. After one game down, he's in trouble, he's young opponent is hungry for victory, no letting up

Veteran Tan/Hendra can't match the RUS pair's power.

Seems like Lin Dan is like Chong Wei too, just going to lose like that.

Lin Dan wakes up at 10-20 down, too little too late

To be honest, we no longer expect much from the aged Lin Dan, never knows which Lin Dan will turn up, just let nature takes its course

Well at least it was a respectable score of 16-21, rather than 10-21 in the end.

Just a holiday for Lin Dan and family, his one-year-old baby is too young to know anything, so nothing to say.

Actually, it shows Lin Dan can do it if he gets more serious and willing to put in more effort, but , I guess, the drive and motivation is just not there anymore

    Tan/Hendra took G1 25-23, thanks to Ivanov's mistakes.

No way to win by just clearing and lifting willy-nilly like he was doing.

Same situation for Chen Long, no motivation to give his best.
Nonetheless, both of them has achieved a lot.

JC must be saying to himself at 20-9 : I am not going to let this one slip. Imagine the pressure on him rather than on LD.

Exactly, his old bad habit of lifting predictably for his young strapping opponent to pounce on with glee
