Brave as WMC's challenge is, the title is gonna go China's way.

Ever since Tine Rasmussen and WMC outlasted their best players two years ago, Chinese coaches have wisened up. They have now brought in a secondary group of superfit rally type players (eg. Wang Xin, Wang Shixian, Jiang Yanjiao) in support of their primary top WS players (Wang Yihan, Wang Lin, Lu Lan).

Yeah WMC has done well by beating WHY. She might be lucky and win another match but to equal her feat (in 2007 CO) by beating the next three Chinese WS in a row ...... hmmm too tough.

Too bad two Danish and two Taiwanese MD pairs have to play inner fight first. Wish they could swap opponents to make more interesting international competitions.
Oh well, life is never fair....

all the best to mas players!!!

perhaps mas can just rely on doubles to keep the mas flag flying.

but who knows, maybe mew choo could give us some surprise again.;)

Looking ahead to the Semis and Finals..

    - For the THA XD pair to advance. If they win, they'll most likely meet with LYD & JJS for an explosive XD Semis. And whichever pair wins that battle, they'll most likely meet Ma Jin & ZB.

    - I hope LYD & JJS advance to the MD Final to set up a big showdown with Ah Koo & Ah Tan....then of course, should the KOR pair win, we'll be hearing all about LYD & JJS's domination from narnia...and should the MAS pair win, we'll be hearing from all the Malaysia Boleh supporters:cool:

    - Check out the WS draw. Other than WMC, the rest is all red flags.

    - I would be surprised if the WD Final is not an all-CHN affair.

    - For MS, CJ is the last hope for CHN to have an all-CHN Final. On that note, today's QF match between him vs. SDK is huge.

WMC has too many injuries and she probably didn't expect to beat WYH so she left nothing for her next match. WSX will win...

Hard to see an older WMC outrallying a younger WSX. Could be a very long match indeed

Good observation. The Chinese think tank is always tinkering their line up to get the most from it. Bet you they're not satisfied with 7 out of 8 in the WS. The want total world domination.

Any chance for good ol' Sony in this one? He can be great and he can be mediocre....all in the same rally. Chen Jin is a steady, implacable opponent.

If Sony can blunt CJ's attack and frustrate him by keeping the rallies going, he's got a fair chance. CJ's game is limited and once you start getting everything back, he seems to run out of ideas.

Mind you, Sony's form hasn't been anything to write home about lately.
