lin dan burnt out, he lost motivation, he should have won the second set, but he didn't try hard enough

in the third set, he kind of did what taufik did in japan open final, just gave up, but it's not as obvious as taufik ... he learned something from taufik ;)

He acted almost exactly like Taufik from 4:7 to 4:11. But seems after the break he decided he did not want to be another Taufik. :D

At least they are ending coverage for a real sport. As much as I would rather see badminton, I stop short of begrudging gymnastics fans their opportunity. It is the world championships, is it not? And does China not have some contenders in that sport, at least? Guangdong Sports dropping a sport that China is currently dominating (right now in Guangdong, no less!) in favour of a sport at which China is hopeless (ie. showing soccer on semi-finals day) is a far more heinous broadcasting crime.

Too bad they didn't show on TV the only matches I would have enjoyed: the men's doubles. Instead they showed China vs. China men's singles...again! And Yang/Zhang winning...again! Yawn.

perhaps they encourage people to come and watch it live in the stadium ...

i didn't really watch the md semi between lin and bao, but instead trying to find out about the md match score by looking at the background, and guessing from the crowd's cheering :)

Not technically. The women's singles has to have either Yao Jie or Kaori Mori, doesn't it?
