well, I'm not from HK so I don't really mind if they win or loose.
and yes, HK probably don't have chances to win any MS title unless they improve.
I just like Agus style (from the little I watched), sometimes you have these players you like to watch even though they are not highly ranked and tend to loose more than win :p

for example: Shon Seung Mo, Boonsak (when he was still the underdog), Wong Choong Hann (even if he does not belong in this category),
ok going out of topic here ....

The reason why not many top players play in China Open:

    1. The event schedule is after World Champion and Japan Open. Lots of players already too tired and wanted to rest.

    2. Of course there are so many young and talented Chinese players that can create trouble for all top players.

Example: Simon who lost to young China player. How can that be? Simon is the third Indonesia player after Th and Sonny. And Lu Qicheng? Probably still not rank top 10 in China.

And of course China WS and WD will make lots of suprises here by beating lots of top players/pairs. This is their chances to shine and probably made LYB notice them. :D

There are few top players at Denmark open either.

    For top 10 ranked, China Open has top 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 plus Taufik H.
For top 10 ranked, Danes Open has top 4, 7, 8 without Taufik H.

If we score top 10 as 10, 9, 8, ...1 points. And give Taufik 9 points as honorable points. then China open scores 38 points, while Denmark Open scores 14 points only. Big difference!!

it seems China Open is much much better than Denmark open (38 vs 14 in quality strength). World Number 7 Chen Hong is the only player plays both tournaments.

i'm surprised to see all the chinese top players are playing here, like lin dan, bao chunlai, and chen hong etc. they should take a break and let younger guys go about it.

Don't flatter yourself or Taufik. The Chinese always load up for their National Open as they consider it one of the most prestigious events to win... whether Taufik is there or not.

    You are absolutely right :)

Taufik said that his first priority is to collect more points, and get higher ranking, nothing else. So lost in Japan open final is not a big deal, only 720
points. While China open is 6 star, one round will be 810 points more. So if he ran out of gas by the end of JO, he could lost in the first round of CO.

If he had won JO, and lost in the first round of CO, he would get 5340 points

If he lost JO final, and lost in the second round of CO, he would get 5430 points, 90 points more than winning the JO. If he advanced to the 3rd round of CO, he would get 6240 points, which is 900 points more than even winning the JO. If 4th round, 1710 points more, if 5th round, 2520 points more, if 6th round, 3330 points more, if wins the 6th round, then 4140 points more.

So, lost in the JO final, was well planned by Taufik, :D :D :D TH fans, Just relaxed, everything is under excellent control.

All mighty Taufik is BACK :D:):crying:That's for sure.

Sorry to say, my friend--> NO LIVE SCORE at all in this 6* tourney. You can check it to upper part of the website which is the only one English version. Maybe the organizer want to persuade us learning Mandarin language.Don't expect too much that bdm GP-series which held in Asia can serving LIVE-Scoring section except Singapore Open, so the answer for us Harap Maklum!

    j/k.

i'm just worried them having too much games and won't have enough gas left when the more important ones are here.
