is this the first time there is no Chinese women's singles player in the final of China Masters?

As Marin would point out, Chinese badminton in the Li Yongbo-era (since the London 2012 Olympic Cycle) are famous for their trickery...

Lin Dan was boo-ed at a few years back at the Singapore Open when he gave Chen Long a walkover victory in the Finals, even though he came on court to apologize and thank his fans-- cos long-time badminton fans are sick of this ****...

No one is interested in watching a match where the players are not interested in playing-- and post-London 2012, Chinese MS has become more and more unwatchable since Lin Dan, Chen Long, Tian Houwei, etc.don't or can't seem to decide if they are really interested....

No point-- at his age, LCW cannot play at QB's speed for 3 games without risk of injury... QB has nothing to lose (& everything to gain); whereas LCW has already qualified for the upcoming World Championships...

That's the best you can do and quoting Marin of all person to be your spokesperson as if she is the authority and arbitrator ? Oh, Li Yongbo-era trickery, and BWF just conniving with him for the sake of world badminton? Aren't BWF guilty of complicity then ?

And like nokh88, that SIN Open Final incident - you didn't even get the facts right, Chen Jin or Chen Long? - you're still obsessed with it like a bee in a bonnet, and as if it's such an unpardonable crime or sin to be condemned to the high heavens.

Only CHN MS are unwatchable because they - including Tian Houwei who is nowhere near the two aforementioned in terms of accomplishments ? - 'can't seem to decide if they are really interested' which I'd have thought should benefit the rest of the world who are presumably extremely interested. Look, how many matches have LD and CL lost out of no interest to the foreign players, eg Emil Holst, Wang Tzu Wei...I don't even have to go on, you can easily rattle off the names at the top of your clever head.

Obviously you can't see any faults or flaws of non-CHN players that are no better than the CHN whom you consider fair game simply because you self-righteously held the CHN players to the highest standards of perfection whereas the rest of the world are just human and all too forgivable, if not innocent lambs. What rank hypocrisy and shameless double standard, you and your ilk.

How do you know the reasons for the decline ? Have you done your survey or research backed up with testimonies and concrete evidence like all good statisticians and scientific analysts do ? Whenever you make a damning accusation like this, you are obliged to provide proofs that can stand up to scrutiny and make your arguments ironclad.

I'm not dismissing outright your brazen claim, only holding you accountable to prove it.

I'd like to ask kwun if forum membership here has really declined, for whatever reasons, in the first place. Worth investigating, after all, he is the owner and administrator with vested interest in this forum he created. Has the quantity and/or quality of this forum gone down drastically, and why ?

I'd rather have Bao Yixin/Yu Xiaohan than the Luo twins in Glasgow.

CHN TPE is quite a balanced team for the Sudirman Cup, not to be trifled with.

What a summary disposal of the JPN pair by the TPE MD to take the title. Congratulations. Well done, Chen Hung Ling/Wang Chi-lin.

Maybe it's a good idea to extend the doubles service line all the way to the outer backline instead of the inner backline, in which case the server need not worry too much about serving low and having the receiver rush the net , for most servers tend to serve with the racquet raise higher and higher and risk being called out as a serve-above-the-wast fault. Then, I'd expect an equal mix of low and high serves in doubles. Could be a game changer.
