China Masters 2017

QB is bursting with energy, I think at first LD will rally a bit more to drain some of it and slow him down a little.

Qiao Bin, knowing that Lin Dan has practically nothing to play for after grabbing his Glasgow ticket and will be playing with an eye on next week's more important BAC where his two formidable archrivals are competing, will try to make the most of the situation to his advantage; a golden opportunity not to be missed for QB to upset Lin Dan , if possible.

I believe Qiao Bin will go all out and stretch Lin Dan to the limit, forcing him to expend more energy than he would like to. We'll see.

I think while we have amply been able to see the collapse of Chinese WS, what is often missed is the collapse of Chinese MS middle order.

What I mean is the players in 22- 25 age bracket, and there are many of them: Qiao Bin, Huang Yuxiang, Xue Song.

I watched Xue Song play in Lucknow Syed Modi Masters against Srikanth. And he was incredible. He came from the back, and won it. But later on same thing was done to him as done to Chinese WS juniors. He just disappeared.

In contrast, srikanth has still been able to achieve far more than Xue Song.

So where is Xue Song?

Xue Song was on the rise until his unexpected knee injury at the AE in 2016, after beating the likes of Viktor Axelsen and Chen long and while playing Lin Dan. A few months later he sustained another injury, that time to his ankle, since then he's never the same again, unfortunately.

Xue Song, Qian Bin, Huang YX and etc will retire within the next year or two, if not retired already.. I think Tian HW as well..

At the very least, none of them can last till 2024 for their chances..

Yeah, but even he was given international exposure to late.

Basically he and Srikanth are in the same age bracket.

Yet, by 2015, Srikanth had won 2 superseries.
