yeah, kind of boring, my typing speed can't catch up with the speed of the changing score why not let them wipe sweat 10:10 now
wow, Fu/Cai is definetly in form. very quick and powerful. They have improve since the last time I saw them played in AE. Cai smashes is getting better and better, and what reflexes.. Totally amazing....
21 point scoring system is ok if the games are good, but if the players are not in top form or just playing bad, 21 point is brutally short.
Robert Mateusiak Ofcourse I am here - hi All, Special cheers to Jamesd20 – the master of the dark hall , I am proud that Robert Mateusiak (nick “Zico”) is under your interest. I will certainly pass this info to him and I am sure he will be proud too. Robert is at his late twenties, having now the peak of his carrier. The info posted by Jannie is correct but not totally up-to-date. Robert (together with Michał) has three bronze medals of EC (2000, 2002, 2004). When Robert was young, he was playing a lot of football, since he was very good they called him “Zico”. Robert was always one of the most talented players in Poland. However, for a long time he couldn’t find a right partner. There was a time when he was out from the Polish national team and his career was about to stop. Then Robert was paired with Michał Łogosz (a tall (1.9) and very strong player, Robert is about 1.70, veeery fast, superb racket skills) and they become a first Polish pair that is internationally recognizable. They won several tournament of a mid class in Europe, and they were playing in the many top tournaments across the world with mixed successes. Robert and Michał posses stable top twenty position for years and once they even were ranked 6 in the world. Their most BF’s recognizable success come at the OG in Athens where they won against Tri/Sigit in the firs round, but they had a very bad draw and they could not pass the golden pair - KDM/HTK in the second round. After the OG their trainer was finally changed (practically in Poland there is no trainer who has enough knowledge and experience to train them – if you know someone who is good and wants to come to Poland just let me know) and a brilliant (and obvious) decision was taken. As you are aware, Poland has the strong LD pair Kamila Augustyn/Nadia Kostiuczyk – Robert was paired with Nadia (who plays better MX than Kamila) and another strong formation was created. They play for a something like a year and half together and I predict them to be in the top 10 in the nearest future. As a player Robert is very fast, he plays excellent at the net, executes perfect kills and he masters in the flat play. He is also great defender and very accurate – I described in BF some time ago a training I had with Robert where I was playing drops with him – Robert’s every third (!) shuttle touched the net. Sometimes I wonder how far Rober and his partners could go if they had a top training and sparing. I was told story that for them the best training is to go to the tournaments in Asia, where they can spare with top pair after the matches. I remember a story that couple of years ago the Malaysian trainer (Yap – I don’t recall the proper spelling) asked Rober and Michał to join the Malaysian’s training to spare and Polish pair beat all the Malaysian pairs in a row. Now they are the pair to watch, I think that with the new scoring system it will be easier to make an upset I hope that some of them will be created by Robert Mateusiak and Michał Łogosz in doubles and Robert Mateusiak and Nadia Kostiuczyk in mixed doubles. The first test will come at the European Championships. Regards, dzgdz
