I suspect this time Chen Long's bid price is at least as high if not higher than Lin Dan's, I 'd try to check it out. Obviously, as we can see, all the CBSL matches are taken very seriously. First of all, these are professional players with a sense of responsibility and duty; secondly , just as importantly, they are obligated to their sponsors who pay good money; thirdly, the prize money is very attractive, esp the top four prizes, and they have the practice of settling accounts immediately after every round match played (how nice to get paid so soon).
Oh-oh, the guy managing the screening is having problems with the livestream. Don't know why he wants to appear at the bottom right of the screen and even all his soliloquy and conversation with someone on his headphone cum microphone is audible to viewers.
Sometimes the MAS Purple League matches are screened. There are many good players partaking in that league, just that i don't like the 11-point scoring system and the strange 30-minute match rule where the final game, usually the 4th set , is settled by whomever is in the lead at that point, in case of even score then another point is played to settle it. Too arbitrary, and often gives rise to freak results, to my liking.
You're right, a check with the Chinese dictionary shows it's 'bo' , not 'fan', perhaps the website operator makes a mistake..
I hope that chap settles the screening problems this evening for the remaining CBSL matches at 1900 hrs local time.
Had Lin Dan for Guangzhou travelled to Jiangsu, he'd be the one playing Shi Yuqi instead of Ren Pengbo who is fielded instead of Wang Zhengming. Unfortunately, JIangsu has just won the R7 tie 3-2, winning the MD as Cai Yun/Xu Chen beat Zhang Zhijun/Zhou Haodong, WS Wang Shixian beat Li Yun, and MS Shi Yuqi beat Ren Pengbo , all in two straight sets. Despite Lin Dan winning all his home matches, Guangzhou still finishes at rock bottom so far.
If the two Jiangsu oldies, Cai Yun and Xu Chen, playing MD didn't win the opening match, the final outcome would be reverse, 3-2 in favour of Guangzhou. I suppose the Guangzhou MD, Zhang Zhijun and the 18-year-old Zhou Haodong , apparently lost out to the two old warriors on experience.
The 18-year-old He Jiting recently played at the WJC and ended up runner-up with Tan Qiang, losing to fellow teammates Zhou Haodong/Han Chengkai
I suppose Wang Yihan lost so badly to Chen Yufei that her coaches have no confidence in her in this matchup
Both ladies have a point to prove, yesterday He Bingjiao lost to Hui Xirui, and Sun Yu to Gao Fangjie.
