Relax... They're probably just targeting a different tournament, ie next week's AE. We shall soon see...

Mate, I've been watching their games for years. Trust me, they're not "targeting a different tournament", it is just the usual shithousery. I understand this is the year of the tiger. Last year was the year of the Mickey Mouse and tournaments during that year should not be overestimated. ;)

This year could be a Tom and Jerry year.

A good win in two games over Kim and Kong to move into the semifinals of the All England.

Perhaps the Badmintonforum commentators will be the ones acting out Tom and Jerry. :D

    Bahhhh, a lucky one-off! :D
Probably a result of the ref shutting up Kei Nakashima from the start.

I'm not mad at being wrong in this particular instance. And let's not get ahead of ourselves. One swallow doesn't make a summer.;)

Let's gooo. They played well, I must say, although they were still quite error prone.

I really like their aggressive style -- very dynamic, and not content to just lifting everything, but finding opportunities to drive the defense back. They've become a much more stable pair nowadays. Sure, there are still the occasional glitches, but it is happening less often, imo. If they keep working on their stability, they can surpass Nagamatsu soon, since they can get to the finals by beating Korean and Chinese pairs, rather than relying on the luck of the draw.

Not a good performance today losing in QF against Kim and Kong. Didn’t seem to have a good rhythm or the Koreans upset their rhythm.

Home ground not nice for the Japanese players

At least Nagahara/Matsumoto was still on and Yamaguchi hasn't played yet.
