    Name: CHEN, XiaoXin (陈晓欣)
Place of Birth: NanNing, GuangXi, China
Date of Birth: April 24, 1998

Not much is known about this girl. She took part in the 2014 World Junior World Championships and had decent results in the international junior circuit in that year. However, her junior career ended prematurely with only one more junior event in 2015. After that, she was largely limited only to tournaments held in China.

Somehow, she managed to burst out of the doldrums with a 2nd place finish at 2016 Macao Open and a win at the 2017 Swiss Open.

More remarkably, in those tournaments, her athleticism and her sense of adventure were captivating to watch. For that alone, she deserves a thread here.

Macau Open 2016 | Badminton SF M2-WS | Cheung Ngan Yi vs Chen Xiaoxin

Macau Open 2016 | Badminton F M2-WS | Chen Yufei vs Chen Xiaoxin

Yonex Swiss Open 2017 | Badminton SF M3-WS | Chen Xiaoxin vs Fitriani Fitriani

Yonex Swiss Open 2017 | Badminton F M1-WS | Chen Yufei vs Chen Xiaoxin

At first, I thought it's early days yet to open a thread for Chen Xiaoxin. Thanks,RedShuttle, for doing so, it proves some of us think hihgly of her potential. May she live up to our expectations soon.

I'm impressed by her on-court attitude and like her game. Way to go ! JiaYou!

Result-wise, it is a bit early for a thread for Chen XiaoXin. But her game is just so interesting to watch, it would be really fun if she can become one of the elite players. Given enough opportunities, she should be in the 13 to 20 ranking range within a year or two.

At the moment, she is exhibiting the common sins for younger players such as giving away cheap points one after another.

Chen XiaoXin will continue her superseries adventure with a stop at the Indonesia Open, and most likely the Australian Open too. Good luck!

Glad to see Chen Xiaoxin promoted to Premier Super Series level tournaments and given more exposure. Have to start as early as possible, as CHN WS is racing against time.

I hope to see a few other young CHN WS prospects identified and extended similar such opportunities, perhaps starting with the normal SS tourneys. I have in mind, Gao Fangjie, Wang Zhiyi, Zhang Yiman, Han Yue, all about Chen Xiaoxin's age, and possibly the now 23-year-old Hui Xirui.

Yes, Chen Xiaoxin acquitted herself admirably to day in coming from behind to take G3 two matchpoints down, forcing deuce, winning it and the match.

With Xia Xuanze sitting in on her match and not other CHN WS, she didn't let XXZ down albeit winning narrowly. It'll serve to inject a huge boost of confidence and self-belief in the 19-year-old girl. It's only one stirring victory, the more so when virtually nobody gives her a chance against Marin in the very first round, expecting her to be sent packing without suspense , but what a rousing battle she put up. Very good start to her maiden premier SS tournament. Let's see how far she can go from now on.

Glad that Xia Xuanze's personal coaching for Chen Xiaoxin is showing refreshing and heareting result in such a short time. Hope to see him doing the same for the rest of the CHN WS as soon as possible. Keep it up ! JiaYou !!

Chen Xiaoxin hails from Guangxi and its provincial team where she came from before joining the national team is headed by the legendary Zhao Jianhua. Thought it worth mentioning as read from here http://sports.qq.com/a/20170614/034691.htm

She's definitely a talent that we need to keep a closer look at. The way she faught down CM in the final phase of that third game is highly impressive. She even withstand Carolina's typical mental serve-delay games and didn't seem to care at all. Maybe she will be able to fill that huge void that has opened up in the Chinese WS since the end of WYH and WSX's carreer on the tour and LXR's knee injury. I'm getting more and more doubts if especially HBJ has the physical and phycological abilities that are needed to stay at the top consistently - despite her extraordinary talent and racket skills.

Not sure of ZJH does any real coaching himself. But the hitting motion of CXX reminds what ZJH likes to stress in his training video: crisp contact.

Good point about CXX's mental strength. Even fans get agitated by CM's on court antics such as sending the shuttle away from the opponent after picking up the shuttle after a point. CXX was not rattled at all.

Apparently, her shrieking hasn't bothered any of us so far, nothing intolerable, except that it seemed to have startled one cockroach.:p:D:)

    GOOD BYE THE SCREAMING QUEEN!!

The happiest time to watch this replay, whereas the The Screaming Queen was sent out as a tourist in Jakarta. She won't back home yet for she'll play in Aussie.

Enjoy most this replay for it's the end of the noisy, improper distractions on court from a player, an Olympic & World champion indeed, having the worst court manner throughout the badminton history!

Now one can watch the matches quietly... without the uncivilized manners!

I'll support any player who will shut this Shriek Queen off!

WHAT A GREAT JOB CHEN XIAOXIN to eliminate the great nuisance on court :D:p:D BIG THUMBS UP!!!

After the emotional high of beating the World and Olympic Champion, CXX was in a bind early in the Round of 16 match against Soniia Cheah. CXX was tired and erratic, even stumbling here and there. Against a higher calibrate opponent, CXX could have easily lost the match in straight games.

Luckily, CXX was able to play herself back into the match with a few brilliant defensive plays that were really demoralizing for her opponent. Next up will be Sung Ji Hyun who does not tend to give anything away. But CXX already played far exceeded any expectations in this tournament. Hope she can just enjoy the rest of the tournament and play her best.

It's official: CXX will go the the World Championship after Li XueRui's withdrawal.

Too bad for Li XueRui. But what a ride for CXX. As recent as the China Masters, she was the forgotten one. And now, the big stage!

Wow, this is equally great news to me. Better to give Chen Xiaoxin a shot at the Worlds than send an unfit Li Xuerui to waste a slot and be humiliated even. The heightened anticipation of playing in her maiden world championships is a huge boost to her motivation regardless the eventual outcome, just what a budding star needs to accelerate her progress in her nascent professional career, the exposure and experience to be gained are invaluable.

Go for it, Chen Xiaoxin ! Keep going, keep fighting. JiaYou !!!
