Recently, BC had changed their formation for the category of "Professional Players" into sub categories by countries.

After trying the changed one, I hate the new way of displays because:

Overall, it keeps the BCers from being informed of the variety news from all badminton countries.

    - To see the news of each country I need to go back to the level of country categories and click each category again.
    - The international news are not quite exposed as they are; they look hiding away.
    - It makes the BCers see the news of their own counrties.

I think this category should be returnned to the original formation, that was much better for the international characteristics of BadmintonCentral.

The other opinions need to be heard. BC admin should have got listened to the residents here before the change. Or if possible technically, BC can open the option to choose the display to the individual BCers.

p.s. please do not think that I just like the LYD news should be seen more to the BCers.

    :)

No, I didn't see the thread in the correspondiing category and I can't still understand how just 6 (or 4 by the # posts, who are the BC sticking guys not ordinary users) people's opinions can represent the BCers. It should be voted at least for a while with good visibility or be in the experimental period to gather enough responses.

Anyway, I dislike the changed formation. That's my opinion.

Otherwise, if admin likes to keep the categorized ones, he can directly show some number of latest posted threads for each country category together at the top level, i.e., just after clicking the top-most category name of "Professional Players."

This thread should be exposed in the right category not Feedback. It doesn't make sense. Ordinary users do not know about the existence of this feedback category.

Moderators should get more senses, not just doing their jobs mechanically!

BadmintonCentral is growing bigger and bigger each day

    .
The formation for the categories of "Professional Players" into sub-forums by countries is more or less following the categories like "Tournaments", "Places to play / Clubs / Local Events", "Equipments", etc...

IMHO, it's easier to find threads narrowed down into sub-forums as BadmintonCentral is growing bigger and bigger each day. Many new BCers are complaining that they are lost when entering our BC site.

    common sense.
talk about professional players, we go to players sections or sub-sections.
talk about forum's layout, we go to forum feedback and discuss.
talk about football, we go to chit-chat session.
talk about rackets, we go to equipment sections.

posters need to set their mind before jumping high and down.

    Not agreed.

I thought that BC has been and should be a kind of "internatiional melpot" for the world badminton fans. But this categorization by countires built up blocks and separation of the BCers. The casual BCers (not like you, badminton mania) will tend to go the categories of their own countries.

    Not Common!

Just check out how many BCers come here to leave their feedbacks? The casual BCers, esp. of the Professional Players category, even do not know the existence of this thread.

You guys should have got sufficient feedbacks from more BCers.

It's all due to the low visibility problem; they don't know how to feedback.

Sometimes, it's not good to make more specializations or divisions. It's just from naive idea of doing operations. BC should not be a department store.

Where can I play Badminton in Australia when I'm there on holidays?

    .
Let's say you are visiting Australia for holidays and wish to play Badminton in Australia (without having to start a new thread "Where can I play Badminton in Australia when I'm there on holidays?".

If we don't categorise our forums, too many threads will be created,

BC is unable to fulfill every member in this forum. it is depend to members whether they are willing to go beyond than their regular sections. that is why i always encourage members to read or participate in other sections.
one cannot jump in and say "i did not read the rules and regulations".

Just check out the BCers' behaviour after the categorization. Before, even I have read more news from all other countries. But now, it's hard for me to intentionally click on the other countires' categories. I think only 1~5% badminton manias will read other countires' posts now.

Not all, I said "sufficient". It should be voted or should be discussed by many users there.

Words are not just enough for the internet users. Even I never saw your words like that. The casual internet users want to see as they are; the majority is not manias like you.

Afraid of having too many threads

    .
Yes, I am afraid of having too many threads. :(:(:(

Just have a look at our "Equipment" forum. If any of our sub-forums is to go 'crazy', it would be in the "Equipment" forum.:eek::eek:

We are talking about "human" players, not parts or equipment.

As I said, the readers of the concerned category should not be the users who go for the fulfillment of their needs such as equipment, they are casual readers of news for the interanational players.

Moderators should get the kindly efforts to check the users' behaviors for the specific category: before and after.
