Although LCW is ranked WR 1, but nobody can deny that LD is the real favourite to win WC. LCW can still win if he produce 110 % form especially again LD, if not, I am sorry to say no chance

She was outlasted by the pocket dynamite Ai Goto. You can see WMC's battery was flat and her body language was showing she had given up.
This Ai Goto stands not taller than the net! but can she run!! She reminds me of the powerpuff girls...hahaha :D
WMC gotta up her fitness levels....like that of 2007!

    She lost a close one..

..could've gone either way. Personally, i don't know if WMC's battery was flat or not and her body language was showing she had given up; if it was, the scoreline in the 3rd & deciding game wouldn't have been that close, 23-21, if not mistaken??. I just think Ai Goto just came much more prepared & focused for this WC.

Malaysia had every right for optimism going into the worlds with a couple of world no.1s and many players with potential. Going into the quarter finals they have only 2 MD pairs surviving and LCW. Of course if one of those claims a title Malaysia can call the 2009 WC a success but if not they will remain underperformers at the big events.

Well, whatever slim chance MAS has of landing a WC09 title have always rested on LCW and KKK/TBH. WMC and CEH/WPT have practically no chance, No. 1 or not.

It's the quarterfinals now. LCW and KKK/TBH are still around. There's another day to fight. Good luck to Fuzzy too, you never know with them.

More on Wong Mew Choo vs. Ai Goto's match..

..for those interested and who haven't watched their match, here is the link to their videos:
    http://www.badmintonfreak.com/wong-mew-choo-vs-ai-gato-video/

A pretty good match. Personally, i thought Ai Goto played a patient match. She has a very good footwork and covers the court well, despite her diminutive size & height. She also is quite deceptive in her shots.

    And for more videos:

    enjoy!
