A surprising turn of events, first Maheshwari in WD retired injured, now MD Ahsan is not well and retires. Unlucky for INA. Wish both of them speedy recovery.

Looks like INA is not playing to expectation, trailing 7-11 at the interval.

And it is confirmed that Ahsan is injured (back injury?) and he is giving up.

CHN won with retirement from INA.

I thought I saw Chen Jin helping WSX to warm up at the players warming-up area. Also heard GC saying Saina doing the same with her new coach Vimal Kumar.

 

I thought it was not quite right for Hendra to partner Kiddo and not Ahsan in the Axiata Cup.

Ahsan must have carried the 'back' injury for some time now. It is a shame that it has to happen during the SSF.

 

Really disappointed I wanted to see another epic LYD/YYS vs MA/HS..
Well on court match of the day SN vs WSX finally heard the crowd's voices

 

I wonder who screams louder - WSX or CM?

But certainly not SN who is now going to lock horns with WSX.

 

Again, WSX's lack of a killer smash costs her dearly.

 

A surprise to know SN has changed her coach and left Gopi Sir.

If WSX is going to smash she's got to do it quick and sudden or the opponent is very likely to get it back.

 

A number of unforced errors by WSX gave SN the lead 13-10.

 

A net dispute brought coach Chen Jin to the court to speak to the Umpire. But the Umpire brushed him off as he rightly called the net brush by SN as legal since the shuttle has travelled across to her side before she hit it.

 

The Indian fans can be heard loudly now as they cheered SN on. SN leads 18-11.

 

WSX has so many opportunities to smash and as expected she's not doing it and the shots keep coming back with interest to her own detriment.

 

WSX won back 2 points 13-18. Opposing sides are now heating up and cheering for their idols.

 

A line challenge won by SN 19-13.

Then another 20-13 before SN hit out to delay the outcome.
