Getting one gold is hard enough but this youngster got two! Remember the name Zheng Siwei of China who captured both the MD & XD. Hope he doesn't fizzle out along the way. And oh yes, Chen Qingchen too in XD and WD!
Of course, these two have already captured more major senior titles than many players do in a whole career. I don't remember any players who've been so dominant as juniors and then fizzled. The ones who create a few upsets to win sometimes fade into obscurity but this is different. Even Sang Yang, the last Chinese shuttler to win two WJC titles, won a few senior titles before his career was cut short. Does anyone else recall Steen Pedersen saying on the air this year that Zheng Siwei was the fastest doubles player in the world right now?
thats weird .. i clicked on that hyperlink "cut short" expecting to find a horrific story of accidents or amputations or the like.. but it only connect me to cut short jane hahahaha
