can you imagine the quips that would come of this. :)

Fastest racket sport in the world professional match ends in 10 minutes.

How would BWF handle the humour?:D

I didn't suggest it has anything to do with increasing spectators. That is one argument. Aside from increasing viewers, having watched many competitive games in the NBL I think fewer points of 5 sets is far better than 3 to 21. I don't see anything wrong with experimenting with badminton's scoring because (in my view) it's dull and uninteresting the way it stands.

I think the NBL is a total waste of time, just because of this stupid scoring system. It always seems like a lottery to me. More of kids-play than real sports. Absolutely no suspense, I stopped watching this format...

Is it true that the latest doubles scoring has been changed?
I was told for doubles play regardless of service the side that wins the rally scores. Is this true?

    No and yes.

No, at least the scoring had not been changed to the 21 pts system.
Yes, whoever won the rally scores but that's the same for singles.

    Where had you been?

OMG! I've been in hitus for awhile so didn't know. I was still counting old school. No point unless service over.
Until someone updated me...I was skeptical.
So now the norm is 21pts.
But regardless of service the side that wins the rally scores?
Assuming I'm currently serving. I lose the rally so opponent 1pt and my side becomes 2nd server? Correct?
    I'm feeling ashamed man.

    No 2nd service anymore...;-)

You may go and read the rules. That'll clearify thing...

Before you ask: Recently, a search engine has been invented. You may just type in whatever you search there. Here's the link:

Bieffe, it's called the rally point scoring system, a point will be given after each rally regardless who serves; based on 21 points; deuce happens on 20-20 only, need a two-point margin to win but if game evolves into 29-29 then whoever get the 30 points be the winner.

Is confusing at first. But the game becomes very dynamic & exciting. Against a team of similar standard....the diff in score is only 1 pts. Is tuff to have a clear win.
The 3 games get over in abt half the time? It finish so fast.
