Go to Shuttle Amazing on youtube you can see court 1 and 2. Due to the odd hours I haven't seen it live. But there are many recordings from the first day?
Yeah, the wunderkind lost to her senior teammate, 21-year-old Kim Ga Eun who is probably familiar with her game having trained with her on a daily basis. Perhaps competing in back-to-back events coupled with her youth and inexperience also play a small part to it. Incidentally, this is her second defeat to players whom she's expected to beat, previously to THA WS Supanida Katethong at the Mongolia Int'l. Frankly, I originally thought she might capture the title here consecutively. Guess she still has quite a bit of work to be done, her remarkable talent notwithstanding.
Hadn't expected Wang Zhiyi to best the No.2 seed, Saena Kawakami, in two straight sets convincingly. Now with An Se Young out of the way, who will be her main obstacle among the other three, Ayumi Mine, Kim Ga Eun or Michelle Li ? We'll see.
Ko/Shin is playing better against more experienced players? Or Ko is just not having his fine form like in AO

Former world champions Ko SH/Shin BC clinch second Super 300 title of this season after AUS Open last month. Unfortunately, Wang Chi Lin got waist injury in the beginning of third game. In women's doubles top-seed Matsuyama/Shida avenge their defeat to Baek HN/Jung KE who eliminated them in Calgary. Was it bad? I had to leave and couldn't watch G3. Hope Wang recovers soon. Nevertheless I am happy for Ko/Shin to win their second wtt. Just a personal opinion of course, I think (hope) they so deserve to be qualified in Tokyo 2020 after they weren't selected for Rio.
Well done, Wang Zhiyi, two back-to-back finals and one title for her trophy cabinet. TPE 19-year-old Lin Chun Yi, a new kid on the block, is an exciting up-and-comer to watch. I was taken aback by the way he bashed his nine years older , more experienced and established opponent, the hard-hitting Tanongsak, giving him as good as he gets and a taste of his own medicine with his speed, deft net play and power smashes. LCY actually seized the initiative more often than not to attack his equally aggressive opponent first, thus denying him too many opportunities to go on the attack, a strategy that worked well for the younger man. Just wondering how long he can carry on playing like this, an all-out fast attacking game - reminds me of his two fellow seniors, Chou Tien Chen and Wang Tzu Wei, who both started in the same way and have now mellowed somewhat realizing the need to play a more all-rounded game to take on the top-ranked players.
Looks like his lower back is the issue. Could be minor, like a pinched nerve or muscle spasm, could be very serious (like Marc Zwiebler's bulging disc early in his career)....really hard to say. When you're tall and just a bit lanky like that, sometimes landing wrong just once can be enough to cause some serious pain (if you slightly 'move' a vertebrae, for example, it can cause debilitating muscle cramps, without any long term issues whatsoever). Wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
Russian 100 undergoing, and i think that that the MD finalist from the bottom half will either be boe peterson or lyd/yys
