Hello all, I have this pain which is quite weird, whenever I get on and get off my bed my buttock to my hamstring area would hurt. At first I thought it was a bone dislocate, so I went to a TCM to take a look, nothing was out of place. Whenever I jog or sneeze, this pain would appear at the same spot, buttock to ham string area (back of my left leg). Anybody know what issue is this? I suspect it is a overuse of ham string muscle but it has been 2 weeks. To add on, I have been playing with this pain for about 2 weeks but is unable to perform.
I can't touch my toes with straight legs but when I did that excerise there was no significant pain. Unlike the pain I encountered when I am doing the jogging motion.
Advise to go see a GP who can take a more detailed history on the discomfort and the severity and go from there.
Yup, thanks for the advice. I was also thinking of heading to a hospital so that they can do a more detailed diagnose, any reccomandation?
A private hospital. Government hospital should need a GP referral. You will go straight to the back of the queue if you went directly to Accident and Emergency with a non-urgent problem.
You should get your spine checked. It sounds more like a lower back (lumbar region) issue to me. Do you specifically feel more on left or right?
This is what I suspected too, something wrong with the bone. My right leg has no pain, only my left leg. It is getting better with the pain coming and going.
I'm having similar symptom as yours. I believe it was because i've been diagnosed with lower backpain 3 years ago. In my case, i'll need to be extra careful whenever performing jumping smash and/or bending lower body. It's been like this for 4 months now and am just getting used to it. Also, extra careful whenever i need to wake/sit/stand after long sleep. Need to roll over to one side, use my hand to push my upper body to reach sitting position.
Sorry for this reply almost 6 years later but I have virtually the exact same problem. Have you recovered since then? If so, how did you recover?
Hi, sorry for the extremely late reply. Will reccomend u to do an X-ray + MRI and proceed from there. The issue I faced wasn't as minor as I thought, hope it helps!
