Could be just a slow start for Momota. Just like R1 Malaysia Open against Ginting.

Momota, unsurprisingly, looks very tired and Srikanth plays really well today. I had expected Momota to lose to a well-rested Ginting tomorrow, but he might not even make it to the second round.

There isn't any BWF youtube for Round 1 this tournament but usually they are in better quality than what Djarum has.

What a tight match played by Japanese WD pairs.
    24-26, 21-19, 23-25 won by Matsumoto/Nagahara.

Amazing match and a true treat to eyes to watch two amazing badminton players.

Though Sk lost but he did lose with dignity unlike players who just go down without a fight like Praneeth etc.

    Proud of both of them.
Such players are what makes badminton a true exciting sport

Former champion defeats defending champion, a cruel draw that pits Momota and Srikanth meet too early here. The Japanese looks tired, don't know if he has enough stamina against home favourite Anthony Ginting tomorrow.

    As usual, KM marches on.
SK needs a lot of work in his defense before the WC

That was because Kidambi wanted to win and he almost had it.
