I dont mean to be political but the fact is "Malaysia Boleh"

was a term invited by Mahatir in 80s during the "Look East Era" when the government created Msia Inc. run by native malays to spearhead an Industrial Economy, at the expense of others.

The slogan was made to inspire the Native Malays to shed their inferiority complex and lead the country in the economy. They were supposed to believe in themselves and lead and others to follow.

Of course today we know that this has failed and the country is stilled riddled with the First World Facilities Third World mentality.

Please think of past history b4 using slogans.its equivalent to young Chinese shouting "Banzai!)

Anyway its all past there are new slogans and new paths created by the new people in power.

B4 any of you recommend me for Kamunting let me clarify I am no traitor.

It is just that the origin and objective of that slogan brings back a lot

    of ill feelings and shame.

Singapore has Maju Singapura, Indonesia Maju etc etc.

it reminds me of the 2nd World War when the Jap army forced chinese or Malaysians to shout "Banzai" , ie. be a Hon Kan.

Please read the real history of the 80s to confirm.

There are new slogans from the new government eg.tegap etc whatever

but that Boleh is being a butt of jokes and an embarassing anachronism, when you know that today Indonesia and Thailand is already more "Boleh".

No point talking about the slogan. This is getting out of hands. Weather the Slogan is useful or not depends on the person who is using it. This thread is out of topic.

Agreed. I'm familiar with the nature of the injury since I've had a similar one a few years back. A ruptured tendon is very serious and it requires IMMEDIATE SURGERY. Therefore, WCH's leaving is totally understandable.

    That is your opinion.

I am merely claryfying facts and explaining to Loh why so many

Malaysians in this forum tend to detest and mock the term.
