Yes she can and I guess her coaches know that but she was injured several times. I really hope Olga does not get injured in the future. Having two good WS can make a big difference

I cannot be sure, but I thought I heard somewhere that Juliane Schenk said she has retired from the national team (after the Olympics) to give the younger players more opportunities to play.
JS did say that since she enjoyed her games, thus decided to continue playing after Olympics (instead of retirement).
I think JS is good for another 2-3 years. Her game is alot of hard running (although I must say her game is getting more intelligent), thus stamina and strength play an important role. JS will be 30 years old on 26th Nov, and by next Olympic in Brazil (5-21 Aug), she will be 33, about same age as Tine Baun now. Good for another Olympic if JS stays in the Top-16. :)

A little too close for comfort that first MS match, especially for the PAWing public going for 11! Glad I wasn't around to suffer through it ... [IMG]. PAWing is bad for the heart - Surgeon General

And now it's Marin's turn to take some years off  ... pos camera angle deceiving the viewer(s) time and time again as well [IMG].

That's more like it, "injection of pace" :D ...

"Mr. Gade the exit is down the hall to your left" - W.T.F.

You plot, you scheme, XD1 DEN was the first pick yesterday planning ahead for potential picks today before points were released. Then you start thinking :D ... that Kristiansen is like a poor man's version of Carsten Mogensen ... at best! :p Never understood why he is in the national setup? Nah better not pick it ....

Saving one bullet for tomorrow one pick posted was already never going to stand in the first place ;). But I would have probably deleted the Chou before Marin had I posted the XD1 PAW, aside from the one that was always going to be deleted.

I hope the Singapore WD can live up to their No. 1 billing. Good luck.

Can the Malaysian overcome Marc in MS? It will take a superman effort. There is still much to learn for Arif.

Veteran Yao Jie's remarkable run in WS continues after thwarting young hopeful Carolina Marin in straight sets!

I think she'll make a very good coach.

It is only the first few months after the Olympics. In any case she is playing in the Danish Badminton League already this season for some "exposure" ...

In the meanwhile how on earth did the Danish MD lose?!? So much for the big points on the last PAW ... can't even eat for a second for some disaster to happen :D.
