The new floors sound very exciting, I definitely want to try them out!

What about the color schemes and lighting? Have those been renovated as well or are they still on the dark side? And is the gym still pretty crowded?

We tried to keep the same color scheme as much as possible. Our badminton mats are green with yellow lines. The aisles between the mats will be made green as well (sometime within the next two weeks). The lighting has not changed, as we've had mixed comments on them. Some say they are a bit dim. However, many like how they are not blindingly bright in certain spots - you don't lose the shuttle during the rallies. Here is one picture of the gym. (I am not able to shrink it. :crying: ) A photo album will be put up on our website that documents the entire floor renovation project. If you really want a good feel of it, can come down to visit and try some jump smashes! :D

Sorry we did not respond sooner. We've been quite busy working on the final touches for the new floor of our gym in Sunnyvale.

What you've heard is surprising to us as well! BBA opening up next week...in Fremont?! That would be pretty awesome I guess, but there is already a club in Fremont. If and when anything new comes up, we will definitely let everyone know! :D 'Til then, you can always visit us here in Sunnyvale.

    Hi Kranti,
We are trying to promote the sport and get new players to participate in tournaments. We would like to see new faces - people who normally only play open gyms or just play recreationally - join the competion world. The recreational flight is for these players, since even D flight is a bit intimidating for first-time tournament players.

There are already many tournaments out there for A-level players. A-level players are already much into the sport and the competition. Since we would like to start and end our tournament at reasonable times, we would like to have only 4 flights this time.

Thanks again for your interest. We will be hosting another Nor-Cal tournament in September with A-flight and cash prizes. We look forward to seeing you then!

I was reading the last page of this thread and took me a while to find out where about this tournament will be held.
The word "Bintang" straight away think of Malyasia or Indonesia, then Sunnyvale, where ? and realised that most of the posting are from US. When I went to the website, it has CA but no country ever mentioned. I know that CA is in USA but may be alot more people don't know. Perhaps it should has USA in your address in the website.
