Can anyone recommend me a string that has a tad more repulsion than the bg80?

I've read about LN 1 but don't wish to trade control for repulsion.

I'm assuming dropping the tension on the bg80 would sacrifice the hard feel that I'm used to

If you string LN1 high enough I find control is still ok.

Control lies in the hands of the player, not in the string. ;)

Anyhoo, if you prefer a hard feeling string with a rough surface, then G-Tone 5 would be my first thought as well. Still, there will be differences to a BG80 in terms of feel.

Am I the only one who thinks that many people are mistaking "repulsion" for "power"?

What about the Adidas Kalkul a68. I find it comparable to the bg80 in terms of control but with more repulsion. I really like it. Not as much as the LN1 but I suggest you give it a try. It's also pretty durable.

Thank you all for the comments! Will see what's available in my region. For sure everything lies in the hands of the players! Why do we buy new stuff though....

    Gosen GT5 for BG80 substitute.
Kizuna D61 for a similar hard feeling with more repulsion.

Closest I've tried is Victor VBS 68 Control. Similar feel but slightly softer, better repulsion & power, better tension retention.
