I want the Russians to book a semi-final spot.
But Danes are too hot to handle.
Don't know whether Russians has beaten Danes before.
    Anyhow, Good luck to Ivanov/Sozonov

Looking forward LiuCheng/ZhangNan vs Kamura/Sonoda. Really a hot headed match just like their QF match in AllEngland. My guess is Liu/Zhang will win.

On paper, Chen Long and Tzu Wei Wang are the favourites. HS Prannoy and Srikanth Kidambi are expected to put up a good fight. Indian MS feed off on each other's success. If Prannoy and Srikanth can minimize errors and stick to game plans they have every chance of winning. They have to dare to dream, believe they can win, play fearless badminton and their dream run will continue! :)

In such despairing times, when Lin Dan and Viktor Axelsen flew out of the first round and Lee Chong Wei sinks in the second round, WE ALL NEED SOME OF WHATEVER samkool IS SMOKING... LOL

    Kam/Son come on!! :)

I would be happy if chen long is beaten. with chen qingchen fine form.. i think she will be in 2 sf at least.
    And
I am hoping the INA WD will reach finals. Long hope, but hope indeed.

WS is really dominated by TTY. I would be surprised if she does not appear on court on Sunday.

With such a condescending reply, you should at least learn to read my (admittedly rather sarcastic) post before responding to it. It is not a new structure that is promoted. It is Indonesia Open that has been promoted to a higher level of tournament (along with AE and China Open) in the new World Tour starting from 2018 (source: http://bwfbadminton.com/2017/03/19/bwf-launches-new-event-structure/)

These are simply not valid excuses. The start of the first match and the number of courts available are determined/known before the tournament starts. With so much data on the duration of an average match, it was obvious to everyone that the proposed schedule would result in post midnight matches. Solution? Easy! Start before 1PM!

Third meeting of Chou vs Son in less than a month. Who will navigate it better?

LD can look clueless and frustrated. I have no problem with that.

But WTW has figured out LD??

    That is total crap.

And you have a reputation for being a LD hater. So your posts are all in that flavor.

I am no CHN fan. I am an Indian fan, for a particular love for select players like Lin Dan.

    Agreed.
Actually, they changed the schedule on Wednesday. I don't understand why they didn't do the same for the rest.

Nobody in his right mind would agree that WTW has Lin Dan 's number just for winning one match against him. Remember, how many other players the last two, three years have beaten LD , esp in 2015, some of them twice. Just this year alone, he lost to Emil Holst in Germany, then to Shi Yuqi at the AE, not to mention to Chen Long at the BAC.

We don't even dare think or say Chen Long or, to a lesser extent, LCW owns Lin Dan, where do the rest stand ?

I mean , don't we all know Lin Dan by now, particularly the post-LOG'12 Lin Dan. To me, he plays according to his moods and desires, whims and fancies, except for the majors, esp team events, he is more or less past caring winning or losing in any other tournaments and only does what is necessary for his own agenda.

Incidentally, Chen Long has only seven tournaments counting to his world ranking of 8 atm.
