So sorry to see her retire without as much wins as was promised early in her career. She was one of most promising and exciting front court player when she first started.

For me, there are already 9 players gone from the China team which should still be there considering their impact at the game and with age not yet reaching 30 (this year) Ma Jin, Tang Yuanting, Wang Xiaoli, Bao Yixin, Hong Wei, Luo Ying, Luo Yu, Wang Yihan, Wang Shixian plus Tang Jinhua which is practically almost not seen at the highest level anymore after last year 'boycott' by the retirees
Tang is certainly the youngest one of the lot, whom many blamed on Yu Yang (and some went on to lay blame on Li Yongbo).
