If you watched the China Masters final, you can see her intentions moving from back court to front court. By the time they rotate, their opponents are already in bad position. I think this aspect she has improved.

Not sure if this would translate to XD though.

Bao Yixin retired from what, a match , a tournament, or from badminton as in quitting the sport ?

Where is the evidence? Please post the link or cite the source of your news .

Thanks. I understand instagram is not widely used in China. If that instagram account is really hers, not somebody else merely using her photo, then it's sad news indeed.

Meanwhile, I will await further confirmation from Chinese newsmedia.

after all it's an important decision, so i feel there is a need for a proper farewell.

from year 08 when i had kneecap surgery till now, thanks to all who have helped me.

So sorry to see her retire without as much wins as was promised early in her career. She was one of most promising and exciting front court player when she first started.

indeed, many in badmintoncn.com express surprise by her sudden retirement, especially after the good fight in the WC quarter vs takamatsu.

This is not right. I don't want to blame anybody, but this is really not right. I'm loss for words.

For me, there are already 9 players gone from the China team which should still be there considering their impact at the game and with age not yet reaching 30 (this year)

Ma Jin, Tang Yuanting, Wang Xiaoli, Bao Yixin, Hong Wei, Luo Ying, Luo Yu, Wang Yihan, Wang Shixian

plus Tang Jinhua which is practically almost not seen at the highest level anymore after last year 'boycott' by the retirees

Tang is certainly the youngest one of the lot, whom many blamed on Yu Yang (and some went on to lay blame on Li Yongbo).
