Am I the only one who bets on badminton?

On this site I can see you all enjoy to "PAW", and many of you are quit good to make predictions for the matches.

My idea with this thread is, if I'm not the only one betting, that we could comment each others bettings for an example.

Don't know Olga - only from her performance from Denmark, where she did well. Is she so good? New star?

What kind of gambler are you?!? :p Relying on other people's info :D. Might as well ask for every match.

FIY her opponent is the partner she won the european junior doubles title with so who knows how they'll do against each other ...

What site are you betting at?

I'm not relying on other people's info, but a second opinion is always good. My interest for pro badminton dropped for some years ago, and my interest just started again for a few months. That's why I don't know all the players anymore, and that's why I thought they could help me. Never heard of Olga before Denmark Open last week. :D

    Playing at BET365.

 Okay. I see the odds aren't exactly the same as in the PAW game :D.
Normally Olga K should be expected to win as reflected in the odds (unfortunately ;)) but I see she's also participating in the mixed doubles not long before. Better wait and see how that match develops first.
They both were at the IBF badminton training center in Saarbrucken so that's probably how they were teamed up as a pair with Olga being belarussian and Kristina from the Czech Republic.

I don't doubt it. Last year you could see the freakiest odds at times. Not that I have participated so far (it's also illegal over here to bet on matches online/internationally. Who'd have thought out of all the things this would be illegal :D -> real reason: the government want to keep their monopoly on gambling) Probably best to keep the discussion on a private forum ;).

I only just signed up to bwin yesterday but they don't seem to have the stream this tournament? And I didn't see the Konon v Ludikova match over there either.

    ^^Same deal with U.S.A...^^

..i scrolled up & down but it only shows the U.S. Virgin Islands in the list..Don't know whether "it being illegal and all" is the main reason; i mean i'm sure everyone has heard of Atlantic City and Las Vegas, right??..

    ^^Okay, got it..^^

..here is more info (from wikipedia):
Title VIII of the Act is also known as the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (or UIGEA). This title (found at 31 U.S.C. § 5361–5367) prohibits the transfer of funds from a financial institution to an Internet gambling site, with the notable exceptions of fantasy sports, online lotteries, and horse/harness racing.

and check out this counter argument:

Challenge to UIGEA part of Act
In April 2007, U.S. Congressman Barney Frank introduced a bill to overturn the gambling aspects of the Act, saying "The existing legislation is an inappropriate interference on the personal freedom of Americans and this interference should be undone." Additionally the bill sets up the framework for taxing and regulating online gambling by individuals within the United States.[21]
*Btw, Mr. Frank is one of the members in the Senate Finance Committe which had a big part with Fannie and Freddie Mac prior to the housing collapse; and we all know those 2 entities are responsible for the housing collapse and subsequent world financial crisis..

why there are so many Indonesian fans of Olga? She's carrying the Indonesia flag upside down. I thought she's a Belarusian.

    ^^Because..^^

    - For PAW game purpose (betting game)..
    - There are other Olga fans from other countries, not just from INA..Maybe you notice INA fans because they're probably the "noisiest" ones in here..;)
