Hi all, when you are ready to head out to the gym, how much gear do you bring? rackets, shuttles, shoes, what else? and how big is your bag?
My bag has, one squash racquet, minimum three badminton racquets, Tube of shuttles headband, wristband, ankle support, knee support. grip powder, grip resin. grip spray for the soles of shoes! match schedule for tournaments. Notebook for badminton. (and pen) Some tissue for rhinitis Badminton shoes (one pair only) three T-shirts. Shorts. Towel and soap Drinks I buy on the way to badminton. Am i missing anything important?
this is getting kind na personal kwun but since cheung is willing to disclose his then i guess i can talk a little about mine. My bag carrys 5 racquets excluding those i have strung for someone else coins for pop and juice machine 1 bath towel, 1 soap, 1 mini shampoo 2 sweat towels 1 t-shirt 1 casual shirt 2 pairs of clean socks 2 extra grips 2 really old granola bars that i dont want to eat 1 chinese folding scissor 1 tube of feather shuttle 1 pair of dry court shoes 2 pens and some blank papers
I bring a simple Yonex bag that carries 2 rackets that has a small pocket enough to fit my phone, wallet and watch. Oh yeah, i always bring sissors and glue along as well. Just in case the black tape on the grip tape doesn't stick..... hehehe
my bag is the yonex cloth one. its quite large and can fit lots of stuff mainly because its a sack and not a "shaped" bag. I have a can of birdies in it, 2 or 3 racquets, wrist bands, and a time schedule of my club in it.
For tournaments I bring: 3 rackets, 2 ISO SP 900 SX and SS SP, 1 Ti-10 SP Nike Air Court Shoes (HK model) car keys, wallet, phone palm pilot as my notebook and as my gameboy for in between games mp3 player to get the mood music going 4 tubes of Aeroplane or Yonex Aerosensa 20 feathers towels and clothes (this varies depending on laundry) I'm still a student luck rabbit's foot
Apart from the obvious stuff (4-5 badminton racquets, shoes, feather shuttles etc) I keep a squash racquet and a skipping rope (for warm-ups), a Leatherman multi-purpose pocket knife (for immediately cutting remaining strings if a string breaks, to avoid any longer period of frame deformation), and an elastic band aid (I sprained my ankle badly once and if I had had that band aid then my recovery time would have been much shorter).
I have a skipping rope but it doesn't reside in my bag. The multipurpose knife plus scissors is on my shopping list for the string cutting and grip trimming. Is there anything else I missed....yes.... sometimes I carry the powder for an electrolyte drink so I don;t have to carry loads of water around with me. Just mix it up when next to the court.
oh, i guess i should let you guys know what junk i have in my bag as well. well, at this very moment, in my bag, there are: 4 rackets 1 tube of birdies 1 pair of shoes 2 1/2 powerbars 1 roll of grip 1 knee support some spare change 1 towel 1 dirty t-shirt 1 clean t-shirt 1 pair of jeans some technical documentation from work. was planning to be studious in the gym, never happened. 1 old tournament registration form 1 pen. 1 cellphone 1 cellphone charger some candies (for the sugar boost) i need a bigger bag.
