Two more upsets today, J Christie and He BJ, both of whom I expect to see in the finals, lost to unfancied opponents. Goes to show that junior players tend to be unpredictable and inconsistent while they are still at their formative stage, it should improve over time as they gain in experience.

Looks like the Busanan vs Akane Y semifinal clash will decide the ultimate WS AJC champion. In the last WJC at Bangkok I had expected Busanan to take the title but perhaps the pressure on home soil got into her, this time I won't be surprised the more experienced Busanan exact her revenge on Akane Y; still, it should be a close battle.

Agree and if we based on the junior titles won in recent years, quite a few players from countries other than China would have come up to a level which they can seriously challenge the major titles like OG and WC.

Chen Yufei is pretty surprising finalist, def. Aya Ohori, Kim Ga Eun and Liang Xiaoyu en route to finale, Akane Yamaguchi should be the fave to win gold tomorrow.
