Some surprising outcomes in group stage, HKG stunned more favoured TPE in tricky group D contest. Korea blanked SGP, even former World Champion Loh KY can't deny the clean sweep, lost to the unheralded Lee Yun Gyu in three games.

JPN-HKG, 4-1. The only point slipped from Japan team is MS where Watanabe defeated by Lee CY. Highly likely Naraoka will be fielded against TPE this evening.

I'm disappointed with the livestream issues, so I don't follow this tournament although I was hyped and eager to see how the youngsters play :)

Yuta Watanabe fell a bit awkwardly in his match. He might have an ankle twist . Luckily, he only had to play a few more points to the end of the match.

I am very impressed by them as well as MS players. They fought really well against Lee ji Zia and lakshya sen. Bharath latheesh is just 15 years old and Dev vishnu is 16 years old. UAE 's badminton is in the good hands of these youngsters. I am looking forward to their development.

I was hoping there's another broadcaster, this is terrible. They could've streamed it from a mobile phone and a tripod and it'll still be better than this

uncharacteristic error-prone and super defensive play... Tinaah and Pearly seem to be jaded and lethargic... dont think they will win this one

Good performance by Gayatri/Treesa. Their first victory against Pearly/Thinaah
Their defence seems to be improved a lot and Treesa is finally using variations in her attack. She reminds me a lot of younger Satwik, loads of raw talent and potential.

Even a Super tour 10 in Africa had clearer pictures than Asia mixed team championships.

This is the way BWF help badminton to develop in the world. How wonderful.

Malaysia sent their best but India once again make me surprise like the time they win Thomas Cup last year.

In my mind, India will never never have chance to take point in XD and WD from Malaysia in this tournament.

    But, they did.

It's about mental aspect in team event, the more fancied MAS can't handle the pressure well and succumbed to IND, only reigning World Champions saved them from humiliating 0-5. Another noteworthy result, THA without their A-listers (Vitidsarn, Intanon, Prajongjai/Kititharakul, Bass/Popor) deliver serious threat for hot favorite IND which comprises of top flight cast. Ginting displayed terrible and frustrated performance to face Thammasin.

Looks like the ongoing BAMTC using order of play MS-WS-MD-WD-XD regularly unless there's one player who competes twice.

Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, and Hong Kong are coming with their relatively best players.

Japan should have brought its higher-rank WD pairs to survive the match against Thailand.

Hopefully we will have better TV match in the knockout stage. @CLELY shows that the matches will be broadcasted live to many countries.

Instead of saying best players, we could safely say " only players who are good enough" when you refer to India.
Because there are nobody in doubles for XD and WD category other than the pairs represented India here. Only MS, we have wide range. Atleast 6 or 7 decent MS players in India. Remaining categories are not worthy to mention at moment.
