Ma Jin is ever ready to defend smashes and when forced to the rear court, she'd play high or fast clears, seldom smashes. Ma Jin is very much a front court player, devastating. But on a few occasions I've seen her smashing from the back, that's good as her ability to mix things up introduces the element of surprise, a potent weapon when needed.

It seems like unseeded Chn WD pair can easily win in any tournament nowadays.

Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting living up to the coaches expectation, duly won the title beating their accomplished seniors.

Agree, he is nothing compared to Lin Dan with two olympic gold medals, well everyone is nothing compared to Lin Dan.

From what I understand, Tang Yuanting's parents, both of whom are engineers, are opposed to their daughter taking up badminton as a career, only reluctantly agreeing upon her persistence. The pressure is on TYT to prove she can make a successful career out of badminton or back to school she goes.

Chen Jin won bronze at the Beijing 2008 Olympics and was the 2010 Paris World Championships titlist.

CCTV5 do not broadcast the medal presentation ceremony?

if they do that on a regular basis, that's very disrespectful.

Lin Dan will not get many opportunities to win tournaments. A win here will boost his confidence ahead of the Sudirman Cup and World Championships. Another reason why Chen Long may have been forced with the W/O.

2010 is when both LCW and LD were eliminated in quarter-finals right, Chen Jin defeated Taufik Hidayat and Peter Gade to name some.

I never remembered Chen Jin as a great player. Never really. But anyway I may be wrong here.

Great players usually do not become frontline coaches.

Peter Gade becomes head coach of France.

Park JB becomes head coach of Japan.

Yeah, if Chen Long shall face Lin Dan in Rio 2016, let them have it in the final, or not crossing each other path at all. And they will be seated in WR #1 and #2 definitely, as long as they don't absent overly from the relevant tournaments, just don't see the rest can deny them the top positions at present. For other points, I grasp it. Btw the max spot in Oly is just two, so there's a limited benefit one can tweak.
