Interesting at how well you know them? The girl pictured is not Melissa M she in fact is a member of the Australian Jump Smash program. I am pretty sure you have never coached her. That is not her mother with her. She is also quite young so it's a little inappropriate to be taking photos of her as she sits in the crowd without her permission and then discussing her looks.
Have to completely agree with you here! Thought the same thing when I read through this thread! Both the picture and the comments are completely unacceptable! Having had the pleasure of meet both the girl and her mother, they are both lovely people who would not appreciate or need comments like this! The girl is well under 18 and is a promising local Australian talent!
The most that I have said (can't speak for others) is that she is beautiful, which I don't see how it could be taken the wrong way, and which I maintain. I didn't know that she's under 18, but imho at 22 I can call an under-18 girl beautiful - especially since she's not a little kid, let's be honest.
What a reactions!?! What is exactly unappropriate about this pic . She's either that good to be in a certain U19 squad or not that young after all or maybe "young" for the 40+ crowd. Every Carola Bott pic taken could be called inappropriate but this certainly isn't one of those . I'll assume it's not the first time you've seen tournament pics, as these are taken all the time and the photographer didn't discuss her looks at all.
Taking pictures of people in a crowd with out their knowledge or permission is TOTAL UNACCEPTABLE in any country or sport! Taking pictures of a crowd is ok but to single out individuals with out permission is not! In fact at many sporting event the general public are not even aloud to take pictures or take in cameras! It is not acceptable to take pictures of people walking down the street with out their knowledge, how is it any different to a person sitting in a stand??? Its not! And a comment that followed was incorrect, without fact and wrong! And other comments were just inappropriate for a pictures of random person who you have no knowledge of or association with, unlike some people who have read these comments!
