Oldest I think was Wong Peng Soon in the 50s.
In modern times, oldest would be Jens Eriksen.
Given the rich history of AE, it is a honour and previlage for any badminton player to win AE, regardless of his/her age. It is a.k.a. of any England football club/players wnated to lift the FA Cup.
But funny thing in this thread is the fact (or the lack of it) when we talk about age, no one seem to be able to confirm how old exactly is TBH after 2 pages of posting!
Here is the info extracted from the player profile from BWF website:
TBH is born on 18/Sep/1987, so on the day when he won the AE MD on 11/Mar/2007, he is 19 years and 170 days old!
Icuk Sugiarto became World Champion in 1983 at 20 years of age.
Now we know their exact age...
All of us are being confused by those commentators who sometimes said that he's 19 and at another time saying that he is 20 . Thanks for the precise and exact answer from you.Now we know the exact age of TBH.Hahaha.... As for KK's age, just add another 2 years on TBH's age as both of them share the same birthday with different year.
ic.... hehehe just filling in here hahaha
