Asian Badminton Championships: Semi-Final

Wow...one of the most anticipated matchup today. Hendra/Joko is playing against Jung/Lee. First time I play the Indo playing....good attacking play by the Indo pair makes it 3-1. They look very young indeed....

 

Change of service now back to the Indo pair. Although I expect Jung/Lee to win, it will be nice to have a surprise. Out of court return and net return by the Korean makes it 6-1 to the Indo pair. Change of service now to the Korean.

 

Indo extends the lead to 8-2. Hmm...could they be the next Ricky/Rexy?

 

Korean simply can't attack and service goes back to the Indo pair. Joko/Hendra is simply irresistable. They extend their lead to 10-2.

Koreans get 2 free points after 2 net returns from the Indo pair. 12-8 to Indo pair. Jung/Lee is definitely more superior. Lets hope they can first win this first set...not easy though to get 3 points...

 

First set to the Indonesians after 3 consecutive points after the change of service. 15-8 in the first set for Hendra/Joko. Now, lets hope they can sustain the momentum and attack in the second set. The key is to get a fast and commanding lead like in the first set.

The Korean has a better start in the second...4-0 now. Jung Jae Sung looks pretty old though. All the other 3 players look definitely younger than him.

 

A good smash return and an out of court return by the Korean closes the score to 3-5.

 

Indo just got back service after an incredible return from Joko. 5-8 now

 

Still 8-5 to the Korean in the second set after several changes of services without any pts for both pairs.
