Anyone is going to ABC? how about the ticketing of ABC??? 1-where and how to get it? can it be done online? 2-when to get it? on the same day? or can it be bought earlier? Thanks.
I emailed to someone in BAM and the reply was to get at the counter. So would there be a lot of demand for this tournament among fans generally and fellow BC forumers specifically? Words in the street is that not many people interested because it's not competitive enough. Even China team think so and not sending their best players here...So who else going?
last year i went there.i bought the ticket straight away from the counter in there before enter the stadium.no booking
I will be there in semis and also final..So,that means i can get the ticket on that day...Hopefully i can get the ticket because a lot of peoples are going..
i not very sure is all the ppl going there can get the ticket or not.but i went two day included final i can get the ticket before enter

BAC aware of poor response By RIZAL ABDULLAH JOHOR BARU: The Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC) have taken note of the lukewarm response to the US$125,000 Yonex-Sunrise Asian Badminton Championships (ABC), which will held here from April 10-15. The BAC executive committee will meet here on April 15 and their events executive, Chooi Weng Sheng, said: “The ABC is definitely on the agenda. The championships will be discussed at length. Apart from this, I am in no position to reveal anything else.” The tournament, which will be held in Johor Baru for the second consecutive time has lost much of its glitter with the absence of the top three Chinese singles players – Lin Dan, Chen Jin and Bao Chunlai. Also missing are the top three men’s doubles pairs in the world – Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun of China, Lee Yong-dae-Jung Jae-sung of South Korea and Markis Kidho-Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia. Apparently, the star players are giving the ABC a skip to concentrate on the Singapore Open (May 1-6) and Indonesian Open (May 7-13) as seedings for the World Championships will based on the Aug 2 rankings. The ABC is the last tournament before the qualifiers for the World Championships are finalised based on the May 3 rankings. Despite the absence of some of the big names in Asian badminton, fans will still get to see reigning Olympic and world champion Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia, Malaysia’s hope Lee Chong Wei and China’s Chen Hong and Chen Yu. Chong Wei is the top seed and defending champion. He defeated Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana in the final last year. Chen Hong, who is making a quick return to competition after announcing his retirement recently, is the second seed. Taufik needs a good run in the ABC to get himself on track for the World Championships, which will be held in Bukit Jalil from Aug 13-19. Hotshots Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong will be the star attraction of the championships at the Johor Baru Indoor Stadium. Tickets will be available at the stadium from tomorrow and have been priced at RM10 (early rounds), RM20 (quarter-finals and semi-finals) and RM30 (final). Those who are 17 years old and below will get a 50% discount. The hotline for tickets is 07-2272889.
have anyone seen the stadium? its awful, just went this morning to check out.......+ the low price money it offers......no wonder all top players are skipping this.
I passed by the stadium yesterday while returning to S'pore after a badminton friendly with a club in JB. Looks okay from the outside. Was it built recently or...??
please lah, don't simply criticise the stadium.the stadium is not built recently and i think is quite old
