    Talked to Rian earlier today.

He said SIN and INA SS might be his last tournaments with Eng Hian, cuz Djarum wants him to pair up with another player.. but maybe not Yonathan Suryatama anyway as 'Yoke' is still in national team.

I suggested that he could play mixed doubles.. Then he asked me whether I want to play with him.. *faint*

Rian Sukmawan - Ade Lukas of PB Djarum just lost in the finals of Surabaya Cup 2007. They lost in rubber sets to Trikus-Bambang [the Indonesian perennial 'oldies but goodies' pair] :p ... My friend told me the final set was very close 20-22 or something...

Rian will fly to Singapore Tuesday, I heard. Rian-Eng Hian will wait for the results of the qualifying matches. Most likely they will face felly PB Djarum guys: Sigit-Fran... :(

If they get pass the round of 32, in the round of 16, they probably will face... KKK-TBH! Create an upset, Rian-Eng Hian!

Hahahaha, they lost 9 and 13!!! I dunno what happened.
Anyway, after the match, Rian was okay.. Promised to do his best in Indo Open. Going back to JKT on Saturday. Oh yeah, he seemed pretty happy, when I was chatting with him, Alvent, Luluk and Flandy. :D

Rian photos and photos of others in Indo Open are coming...

That photo is from the 2006 Thailand Open GP. Just observe the Siam Cement Group signs... If I remember correctly, Rian-Eng Hian lost to Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah in that tournament.... :p

Yannie, as promised [and as requested by you and others], I have photos from Indonesian Open. :) Since I'm not a good photographer myself, I made sure I can get high quality photos.... from my friend who's a pro photographer and a journalist. He took the photos up close, so the quality should be good.

His previous sports-photography job was as an assistant to the Lakers photographer in L.A. Although this week was his first badminton assignment ever, should be no problem for him laaah. He is editing the photos and they should be ready sometime next week. Be patient ok? :D

He shot Rian, Sigit, Fran, Andre, Chen Hong, Kenneth, Peter Gade, Taufik, Bao, etc. The Bao pictures are for Ai Mei... :) I won't get ALL his work, he does this for a living and will sell the photos to badmintonphotos.com etc. ...but I will get several free samples... Good enough...
