I don't follow basketball nowadays. Maybe watch a little here and there.. I know Kobe and king James is very popular. But the players nowadays not as great compare to the likes of bird,mj,magic,Isiah etc... These guys worked their ass off to build their own name, the franchise and the league. Players nowadays it too commercialized and being paid milions even before they step in the court. It is all hype and marketing. Not that the players nowadays are of no good.. But they didn't really earn it in a truest sense.
I'm no royalty here. If you want to bow.. Bow to king kwun. I'm just a normal contributor like u guys. But thanks for the nice gesture.
I don't want be a mod. No way. Anyway I don't think I'm qualified to be one. If I am surely the guys up there would tell me. It's better to be a reader and a normal poster. So i can hav some flexibility in doing things as well as some trash talking here if I want. Hahaha
hehe only one thing that ants disqualify because ants is busy dating with reiko right?not much time for bc:crying: yes mod have their disadvantages too
Hmm.. - Yes and no. True, the game has become more commercialized in part because money & sponsorships. I think there are still players, today (post Air Jordan era), (a few as they are) who really work their behind off to build their name and earn it in a truest sense (e.g. KG, Kobe, Tim "Joe Camel" Duncan, Paulina Pierce, Chris Paul, Wade, to name a few). - I think that sense of "they didn't really earn it in a truest sense" is because those players of the 80s and 90s generations "revolutionized" the game & style of play that we see today. Meaning, what you see from today's players, you probably have seen them before. Also, part of that is the defensive rule change (in 2001, from a man-to-man to allowing zone defense). That rule alone has changed the way a team's offensive and/or defensive schemes work. ..George wouldn't become a mod; rather kwun would give hand him the key and let him become the owner (or part-owner)..
After so many years. Yes.. have to edit the early portion of this Thread. Many has changed since then.
