Oh, it will definitely be televised but not on any N. Am. stations. You will have to be living in Europe to get it.
There was a post on badders.com indicating that UK coverage would be terrestrial: BBC Sunday Grandstand Feb 16th 60 minute highlights satellite: Sky Sports Feb 14th 17:30-23:00 Feb 15th 13:00-17:00 Feb 16th 13:00-18:00 I think the Sky coverage is going to be live.
Thanks for the replies guys. No NA coverage However Neil did mention Sky Sports by satellite. Could someone clue me in as I am not too versed on satellite reception.... Does this mean anyone with a satellite dish here in NA ....( Montreal to be exact) would have the possibility of receiving the transmission for the event.
Only if you have line of sight to the satellite and also the right receiver with the proper authorized card in the receiver. You will have to do some research as which satellite Sky Sports uses and also their reciever/card types, etc.
any websites for All England? Does anyone know any websites dedicated for this year's All England, with draws and results?
Korea's team Korea apparently will not be sending Kim Dong Mong or Ra to the tourney. Assumptions are these two are injured. Without the top Korean doubles specialists, I am guessing that it will open up the field for Denmark's doubles teams.
Malaysian men are seeded second in singles and doubles. Hope they will live up to expectations. Judging from current form, there is more hope in singles then doubles. Lee Tsuen Seng made a selfless statement last week when he urged his team mates to overcome at least one highly ranked player, thus paving the way for one of them to have a shot at the coveted title. However, this year's field is very strong. Almost everyone is coming for the All England as it is also the last qualifying tournament for the World Championships. China looks to be dominating in 3 out of 5 events, and I want be surprise if they walk away with as many. England have some chances in Eng Hian and Limpele and the mixed doubles pairing of Nathan and Gail. Indonesia will have Taufik, Hendrawan, lightning quick Chandra/Sigit and some juniors. Korea looks rather depleted this time around, but nobody should discount them as they have LEE Dong Soo & YOO Yong Sung. Denmark has all round strength in every event. However, the one player that I would really like to see make a comeback is none other than Peter Gade Christensen from Denmark. I will be supporting my fellow Malaysians all the way, but it will also make my day if Gade does well in Birmingham. SEEDING LIST: MEN'S SINGLES 1. CHEN Hong (CHN) 2. WONG Choong Hann (MAS) 3.
